I would give anything to see Peter Siddle's hatrick in the flesh again, I would give anything to see the Lions first premiership in the flesh and the moment the Reds destroyed all competition to claim the title in 2011 blew me away. Nothing compares to sport. Not even kittens or puppies.

I didn’t see your post Tom! I feel like I stole your analogy there mate!

Why is track cycling the ugly, more boring step-sister?

Why is she touted as being good looking? Is it because all other olympic women cyclists are atrocious and she wins it by default?

To me, velodrome racing could be the 20/20 to cricket as the big tours are akin to test matches. I wouldn’t be surprised with the recent boom in single speeds and fixie’s that there are new people taking to the tracks due to the safety (mainly no cars although if Anna Meares is present wear your knee pads and elbow guards) that velodrome racing could take off. It’s so much easier to maintain a round track other than a 200km+ classic. I’m excited for what velodrome cycling has to offer in the future, jump on board!

Don’t remind me of Byron Pickett in that third quarter….. Destroyed me just watching him just do whatever he wanted

Who was the greatest: the 2001-03 Lions or the 2007-09 Cats?

If Matthew Hayden, Justin Langer, Ricky Ponting, Damien Martyn, Adam Gilchrist and Michael Clarke all found Englands conditions difficult then what hope does this current crop of so called “talent” have? Broad and Anderson are going to be bowling hoops around our bats picking off the stumps as they please.

Our only hope is our bowlers, whom barely have experience in England, bowl substantially better to give our batsmen sub 200 run targets. I’m a very passionate supporter but look at the facts, Australia cannot win. We’re not hopeless don’t get me wrong, but we will lose convincingly.

The Aussie cricket team aren't THAT bad

Oh my goodness work on Monday was easy knowing that I’ll be getting some sweet football action oozing from my television screen! Every other program can nick off for all I care. I was even happier when it wasn’t on Fox Sports.

Four days of footy: a weekly Monday night AFL match

Even Gurinder Sandhu at 19 years of age is looking for a berth now.

Johnson unlucky and Hogg has a ping at Pat

kill. me. now.
how can he honestly get a look in with Pattinson, Bird, Faulkner, Siddle, Starc, Sayers and Butterworth? It’s a long line and he should never come back.

Firstly – I demand more exclamation marks.
Secondly – Josh Dugan has self restrain, he just never uses it. Any professional sportsman in any era has had to deal with criticism, it’s not just now there is twitteracebookagram that it is happened, it just happens to be more prominent.
Thirdly – Take a step back and honestly ask yourself, is use of social media more important than a million dollar contract? I’ll let you figure that one out.

Protect the NRL kids from themselves and ban their social media

If only all cricket conversations can be about praise and making points and never be dragged into useless abuse and racism. I love the roar for what it stands for and the people it attracts make the comments section sometimes even better than the article.

Test cricket in India: the ultimate sporting pilgrimage

Exactly Sanjay. He can at least then formulate an innings with someone who has at least the skill to match it with him instead of being left to bat with the tail and shield them from the inevitable wicket. Hopefully it makes the other batsman at the other end more aware of their wicket and give it the same price that Clarke puts on his own wicket.

At last! Clarke will bat higher up

Brilliant comment. The comment was brilliant. So brilliant was thy comment it shall henceforth be known to all as brilliant.

At last! Clarke will bat higher up

Such a brilliant idea! Obviously it would work as it has with rugby union/league, netball, football.

Where to now for McCullum and New Zealand cricket?

Old topic. 5 sets is the only answer.
