No surprise here from the AFLs most incompetent admin team.

They’re clueless about running a footy club which is why the best players do their time and quickly move on to a footy club.

Dew bye date: 'I don't think it's misleading' - Suns chairman backs CEO's call to back coach just days before sacking

Maybe but he has been dropped from the squad.
Really he is an opener or nothing and it seems unwanted.
Unfortunately Warner looks a walking wicket again but they’ll probably let him give some more slip catchers a chance next test.
He started the series well and now has dropped back to what has always failed.

Head's heroic half-ton gives Aussies fighting chance as England quicks make hay in seam-bowling heaven

Green should evolve to bat 3 or more probably 4 but not just yet.
Fantastic innings of class and brutality from Mitch Marsh.
Also great bowling from Wood. A really entertaining day.

Smashing his way through adversity and quelling the haters - the Mitch Marsh journey may have only just begun

Warner was the only one to get himself out. The ball should have been left everytime and normally he would leave it. The other balls were to good for our batters.

Great test cricket until tea when I went to bed.
Thankfully we can go back to cricket now. Fantastic from Marsh and Wood.

Marsh madness! Former whipping boy to the rescue with brutal ton as Wood five-for routs Aussies

There is nothing the Suns hate more than success. McKenna got them playing finally so they sacked him. They start every season looking great then start losing some, then losing more and more.

Really a Suns team based in the NT and GWS in Tasmania would make a truly national game and those places are footy strongholds. But it aint gonna happen with those Vics running the show.

Is Stuart Dew a dead man walking, or a potential premiership winner?

Charles Leclerc was the only driver not to exceed track limits over the weekend proving that it is possible to go fast and stay on.

You’re wrong about Piastri. Ricciardo was that bad and Piastri has been a lot closer in times throughout this season. It seems to be common knowledge in F1 among the experts. We’ll see by seasons end if Piastri is as good as McLaren say he is.

The Grand Prix was pretty good. Have to love Max coming in for new tyres at the end.
There were lots of battles going on and Perez and Sainz had one of the great dices through a lap or two before Perez got through.
Sargeant finally kept on track for the whole race and didn’t come last. His best effort to date.

Austrian Grand Prix talking points: you get a penalty! And you get a penalty! And you aaalll get a penalty!

I prefer the English soccer way. No interviews at all.
They add zilch to the coverage. Just these washed up ex-footballers earning a buck by filling in time talking drivel to the player who is trying to be polite.
I did like an interview with Winston Abraham once. I think he said “They’re bloody useless and we’re going to whoop them.” He never got on again after that.

Shock, horror - NRL players boycotting game-day interviews: How will fans know if teams 'need to play the full 80 minutes'

We saw when India brought two fresh new quicks into the last two tests vs Australia here a few years back they made a huge difference.
I think Starc is the weapon and to rest him and bring him back angry at being left out would be ideal.

Marsh returns after four years in wilderness as Aussies make three changes, England win toss

If you watch back through the lead-up, Bairstow had repeatedly done this and Khawaja had looked around each time at Carey. I would say everyone in the team knew it was on.

'Bloody oath I would': Head accuses bleating Bairstow of blatant hypocrisy over Ashes flashpoint

That is what most annoys those silly Poms. Our players are better and have more class as well. Those silly old fools at Lords show the class of the English peasants.

This will be one of the great Australian teams, even better if we win the series.

'Bloody oath I would': Head accuses bleating Bairstow of blatant hypocrisy over Ashes flashpoint

For once I agree with everything Flem has written here.

It would be the ultimate to win in Headingly and rub it in.

Flem’s Verdict: Cummins shows true class on and off the field as England contradict their words with actions

So we’re up 2-0 and the next test should be a ripper.
No doubt it will be harder without Lyon. I’m thinking Wood comes into England
for Anderson. It’s a pity Lance Morris isn’t there to liven up the bouncer war.

Aussies 2-0 up despite sensational Stokes ton as Lord's erupts over run out controversy, cheating accusations

Well obviously you haven’t played the game here. Its called cricket and that was a stumping.

Batter not up to test standard. He let England down and shame on him for being so ignorant.

'Worst thing I’ve ever seen in cricket': Broad, McCullum whinge about Bairstow drama but McDonald returns serve

If you play cricket in Australia or NZ you can’t do what Bairstow did. Its a brain fade and England’s loss should be blamed on Baistows stupidity.

The sprint race was quite exciting at the start and then back in the field later with plenty of overtaking happening. Hulkenburg did well early and Sainz is having a very good weekend.

Q1 in qualifying was apparently the first time in history that every car was inside a second of each other. Given the short lap its hard read to take to much into it but Norris looks to have a faster McLaren at last.

Verstappen train continues to pull away from everyone with latest pole at Austrian GP qualifying

I doubt that. Starc is a quick and they are the dimmest of people. Just listen to McGrath.
If that was an Oz batter its not out to every Australian.
Rumbustious doesn’t see or understand a lot of cricket.
Its not that hard to figure out except if the hand is under the ball so the ball doesn’t touch the ground. Except if you are biased.

'Biggest load of rubbish': Starc catch controversy fires up McGrath as Aussies on verge of victory after Lyon's heroic knock

In fact the law was changed recently. Control of the body movement was included in the law. Didn’t you read the article.

So do all those diving fielders have control of the catch until their elbows hit the ground and it flies out.

'Biggest load of rubbish': Starc catch controversy fires up McGrath as Aussies on verge of victory after Lyon's heroic knock

Well that was Llehmann and he was always embarrassing.
Pretty much useless wherever he goes, and saying silly things along the way.

He has been a lead weight here at Brisbane Heat in T20, though managed to get his son a gig while Covid was on.

'Biggest load of rubbish': Starc catch controversy fires up McGrath as Aussies on verge of victory after Lyon's heroic knock

But if it was an Oz batter you’de say, “definetly not out, excellent umpiring”.
Its called bias. Most have it.

It wasn’t out by the rulebook and was rightly ruled that way.
If he had control of his body he wouldn’t have skidded the ball along the ground.
He would have turned his hand over so the ball stayed up.

And that is what everyone here we would be saying if a Pom had done it off
a Steve Smith hit.

'Biggest load of rubbish': Starc catch controversy fires up McGrath as Aussies on verge of victory after Lyon's heroic knock

The fielders were in by a metre because it was pretty lifeless. But then Pope missed what should have been a simple catch because he didn’t react quickly enough.
That is the problem with being closer.
But we kept hitting catches through the gully area where there was no fieldsman.
Green would have had three straight forward catches that I saw.
I don’t get that they left a hole there.

UK View: 'Are you joking?' Stunned ex-stars turn on England's 'absolute shambles' in 'worst day of Bazball era'

Pakistan have always been strong but brilliant and hopeless on a day to day basis.
They are not allowed to play IPL which hurts their development a little bit.
eg Massive crowds, massive pressure each time you play makes you improve.

'Dying' Test cricket reigns supreme at Edgbaston

Can I give you a hint Sam. Glen Maxwell won’t play a test match for Australia in future. He should have been there but through incompetent selection wasn’t. Now we’ve moved on.
Glen is old and a T20 star.

Has Australia missed a trick against Bazball?
