I agree that Stockdale will be an interesting choice since he has been ineffective in previous games for Ireland. I would love to see Simon Zebo in there but the IRFU rule has blocked a serious asset to the team especially after his performance for Racing recently.

It is essential this year for Ireland to develop a durable and prepared squad for the WC. Farrell in fairness has called up several players that have proven their worth within the interprovincial set-up. However, Ireland continues to play a game of loyalty and experience over risk by not starting them.
Sexton in an interview with OTB radio stated that the management had full responsibility in choosing the squad, while La Rochelle coach Ronan O’Gara suggested that Sexton should prolong his career in the form of an impact substitute.
In terms of Casey’s situation, I hope he gets the nod against Italy next weekend since everybody, unfortunately, can tell the outcome of the result regardless of who is on the pitch. If Ireland are genuinely concerned about their WC performance and exceeding they need to play their youngsters NOW.
