Mark – what wonderfully thought out and evidenced comments.

Have you thought about becoming a trial lawyer?

McKenzie's man-management chaos

Jiggles – its not the Hakka thats cringe. Its the way some Kiwi fans talk about it that’s cringe.

I quite enjoy the hakka and like it or not, its a symbol of rugby. Just listening to some kiwi rugby tragics talk about it make me giggle.

The All Blacks domination continues

abolish yellow cards?
Craziest idea I’ve heard in a long time.

Abolish yellow cards in Test matches

Bakkies – few deep breaths, maybe go get a shot away and think things through mate.

The Irish have beat Australia about 10% of the time since 1980. Are they better than that? Yes.

Why? They like most NH teams have a mental thin when playing SH teams.

Again, the fact they played for a draw in 2009 when they could have pushed for a win proves it.

Wales have beaten Australia 4 times since 1980.

But hey, lets not lets facts get in the way off you odd rage.

South Africa versus Wales: Wake up call or danger signs?

Bakikies – they all pretty clearly have metal blocks against SH teams.

Since the 80’s both of them have only not lost 2 or 3 games against SH teams.

If there is any doubt, In recent memory both Ireland and Wales have played for draws against Australia where they could have pushed for a win.

South Africa versus Wales: Wake up call or danger signs?

I could believe that the Boks loosies kept chatting to the ref during this period….half of the time wasted was by blokes chatting Mr Walsh

South Africa versus Wales: Wake up call or danger signs?

Finally Johnno is right.

This antiquated notion that players owe fans something is crazy.

What gives us the right to expect a bloke to limit his life because some of us are stuck in an amateur era mindset.

Izzy should be kept in Australian rugby

He’s got 2.5 super season and a handful of test under his belt….mostly off the bench

He’s also 24.

How about we give the big guy a bit more time?

Wallabies outpitch torpid French

I’ve got to admit, I don’t like to run down refs but there is no doubt about it, Owens stuffed up last night. Obsolete shocker.

Some of our kiwi mates here have blinkers on if they can’t admit that.

I’m also not buying into the double handshake conspiracy but I did notice Owens looked like a worried man after the game.

Classic.

“Astute observers would have realised the truth behind the innocent comment, that not only did Carter do as he was told, but more importantly, he was allowed to do as he was told.
The All Blacks, Springboks and England would not have given the rookie such latitude in his first outing.”

Mr Logan, can you please tell me how one stops an opposition players work rate?

Wallabies outpitch torpid French

Oh dear sheek.

Rugby is better now in every metric you can measure other than ‘the good old day’ numbers. Which interestingly you can’t measure…it’s just the ‘bloke online’ vibe (which has replaced the ‘bloke down pub’ wealth of knowledge).

I honestly wonder why some blokes watch rugby anymore. It seems no matter how well we go they still manage to find a reason to be outraged or disappointed.

Dam iPad auto correct….

Wallabies thrash France in Brisbane

If you’d watched the last few tabs games you would have seen Ryan more than justify his spot. Yes he wasn’t great last night at scrum time wasn’t great but his defensive work rate and when I saw him running the ball, he looked fine.

I saw another over dramatic post about him in the live feed saying he should never be picked again… Ok, so we are writing off 24 year old tight heads with 2.5 super rugby seasons (mostly off the bench) ?

Better than Folau: Why Jason Woodward is Australian rugby's biggest loss

Agree.

This site used to be great.

Now it seems full of blokes bitter with the world and more than happy to be in a continual state of outrage at things they clearly know nothing about.

Better than Folau: Why Jason Woodward is Australian rugby's biggest loss

Shatz and Quirk have been my biggest disappointment of the year. I dont follow the reds but i really liked these blokes….this year they have both been poor

Reds unravel in Super Crusaders' blitz

A bloke gives himself the handle on “die hard” but admits to changing teams because they dont seems as “queensland as they use to be”

Oh the irony

brett stapleton was a classic example of how blistering pace doesnt always make a great rugby player.

he was less than average even during the ARC a few years back.

Last I heard he was hardly shining in Japan….but I havent looked in a while.

exactly – and I think that the current rules are fine.

Anything less is over the top protectionism.

All Blacks selected from Australia is a matter of when, not if

hang on.

You’re not answering the question.

Do you honestly think because I am born in a different country I shouldn’t have almost exactly the same rights to represent my new home nation?

I’m not debating the ins and outs of citizenship etc.

All Blacks selected from Australia is a matter of when, not if

so Sheek, are you suggesting that we should protect positions for those who were born here?

All Blacks selected from Australia is a matter of when, not if

I look at it from a totally different angle.

If I’m a player and I choose, for what ever reason, to make a new country my home, should I have any less right to represent that nation at national level? Answer is a clear no….I should and do have essentially the same rights as those born in the country.

I find it gob smackingly amusing that in nations made up mostly of recent generation immigrants people argue the line of what is and isn’t ‘local’ enough.

All Blacks selected from Australia is a matter of when, not if

Perhaps not judging the player directly. But suggesting even further limits to restrict a players right to do what he wants with his skills (no matter the reasoning) is archaic and stinks of old school nationalism.
