Can do run-throughs with hammy niggles though. Mitch Georgiades ruled out after hamstring niggles that started more than a week ago, was seen doing more than just run-throughs at training.

Keath would be a much bigger loss to the dogs than Bont.

Beveridge bullish on the Bont, but key defender in doubt for prelim

Doggies this year seem to play really well in front of hostile crowds. Not so well at home at Marvel. I’m backing our boys to get the job done but the Doggies are no slouch.

'Shades of 2016 for the Doggies, but...': Talking points from the AFL's semi-final weekend

I feel like such a horrible human at the moment. Hoping Bont doesn’t play this weekend…

I couldn’t disagree more. I’ll be surprised if Geelong kick more than 50 against the Dees. And if they did miraculously beat Melbourne, I’d be confident in any of the Power, Lions or Dogs to take out the Cats on Grand Final day.

'I don't think Melbourne are quaking in their boots': Talking points from Geelong's semi-final rebound

Will be a good test of where we are at on Friday night against the cats. If we beat them in Adelaide I’d back us to beat anyone in Adelaide.

I’m so excited at the idea of a Port premiership. What scares me about the idea is, are Robbie Gray and Travis Boak just sticking around because we’re so close, and will they both retire once they’ve tasted the September glory? If we win the flag this year I can definitely see Robbie Gray hanging up the boots which will definitely hurt my soul.

Michael Voss at Port for one more year and Port pick up Pendlebury on a one year contract with coaching after? hmm

'I'd like to step away': Pendlebury hints he's open to trade

Port looked the better team for the entirety of the second quarter and failed for something like 25 minutes to score a goal. Any lesser team would have conceded 5-6 goals in that period. Port also looked the better team for more than half of the third quarter and a long period of the fourth. The correct team won, but won by far too little to accurately reflect the dominance on field. If the doggies hadn’t have kicked so straight all night the score could have been ugly.

Bulldogs top four hopes hit as Port's veterans lift

Crows haven’t been a destination club in half a decade. They’re no longer the #1 team in SA for a reason. All started with that dreadful pre season camp.

‘This is a destination club’: Crows coach eyes active trade period

All 3 of you tipped the dogs to get over the power. Boy oh boy do I hope you are all wrong. I am incredibly nervous about this match but everything suggests we should get over the dogs. So, going to have a bit of faith.

The Roar's AFL expert tips and predictions: Round 23

I’m not against this either. It’s all just being assumed that it’s going to be in WA when other parts of the country can do it just fine too.

AFL reveals unexpected twist with pre-finals bye decision

Why is SA not being considered?

AFL reveals unexpected twist with pre-finals bye decision

I absolutely wish I was a neutral in this situation, instead of being so passionately invested in one club. This would be absolutely hilarious if you didn’t have a dog in this fight. Kochy v Eddie in a ring would sell out the MCG. Let’s make it happen 😛

Sliding Doors: Monday, July 30, 1990

Need to keep on fighting the good fight mate. Non-supporters just don’t get it and are incredibly jealous of the rich and incredible history PAFC have. Those against the use of the prison bars are simply addicted to controversy, drama and arguments. I’m yet to see a reason that is remotely close to valid with all things considered to disallow the use of the strip.

At the end of the day it doesn’t matter how much truth, how much evidence, how much passion the supporter base shows the outsiders. They are stuck in a pool of stubbornness and jealousy. Constantly incorrectly paraphrasing parts of our history to us as if we don’t know what we’re talking about. On this very website I was told I’m not allowed to have an opinion on this because I am only 24 and wasn’t alive during the early 90’s. Pathetic.

Sliding Doors: Monday, July 30, 1990

It’s a win-win for Port Adelaide regardless of the results now and the future results of the debate. If we are continuously denied the right to wear our famous strip, the fans will continue this blood feud and the passion will only increase, increasing sales of prison bar merch. If we are given the right to wear it, those matches will be sell outs and won’t be forgotten in the minds of the faithful. Will also increase merch sales. Both results, thankfully, result in a distaste for Collingwood to grow and linger. But more importantly, more money in PAFC’s pocket.

The "damned spot" on the Port Adelaide prison bar guernsey

Hahaha you have got to be joking me, were Pies fans truly wearing prison bar jumpers? 😂

Will we see SPP this week?

Round 7 games ranked

Port Adelaide Football Club encompasses both the SANFL Port Adelaide Magpies and the AFL Port Adelaide Power. One club, one history.

Did Eddie McGuire reveal a little too much in tense 'prison bars' argument with Kane Cornes?

Absolutely gutless vic bias

The basic design is different though. It’s not black and white stripes versus black and white stripes. They are completely different and the only similarities are imagined to fit a pro-Collingwood story.

The AFL has officially denied Port Adelaide's prison bars jersey request

Collingwood care more about what PAFC are wearing on game day than they do about their own clubs performance.

Did Eddie McGuire reveal a little too much in tense 'prison bars' argument with Kane Cornes?

Port Adelaide being denied the right to wear our traditional prison bar strip is farcical and furthers the conversation of VIC bias. Collingwood should have no say on what other clubs are wearing but the AFL in these discussions are treating Collingwood FC as an equal and PAFC as a lesser entity. Utterly disgraceful and disrespectful. I for one wouldn’t object to PAFC throwing away the season and wearing it every game from here on out.

Not back breaking with our depth. We have the quality to replace them with.

AFL Round 4 power rankings

I have Adelaide at 9th. In a couple weeks could see them as high as 5th if they keep up the good work.

AFL Round 4 power rankings

I personally view power rankings as a representation of who you’d least like to play currently. Current form is absolutely important, but very recent history cannot be ignored, neither can a teams star power. Richmond are 2-2, but who in the competition would be happy to face them currently, outside of maybe WB?

I’d personally go with

1. WB
2. Rich
3. Port
4. Melb
5. WCE
6. Syd
7. Geel
8. STK
