Scrums, line outs, flankers and unlimited ball retention all encourage a “contest” for the ball. The contest is what makes rugby interesting.
The “lean-to” scrum in league is not a contest and that easily could be replaced with a tap without many people complaining!
So there are aspects of both games which are a tad bemusing.

If Cheika picks the Phipps – Cooper – Toomua combination then I can see QC having a very good game.
Phipps has a zippy pass and a point to prove after ostensibly losing his starting spot to Will Genia.
Toomua is one of my favourite players – both a solid attacker and great defender.
With the support of those players around him Quade should go well!
