The return of Sergio Garcia to golf's top echelon
The lack of interest in the game will kill this digital pass deal…They need some ‘stars’ as most players are unknown. I couldn’t name more than 10 NBL players as a casual sports fan.
You attract an Allen Iverson or someone along those lines, then you will get subscribers, world-wide subscribers.
Hopefully some more money will be given to clubs, they need a marquee rule similar to A-League, it works in the NBA, well big names are common in the States, it seems basketball thrives on egos and self promotion, we need a few of these selfish guys down under, to get the viewer numbers up.
At the moment, too little people care, which is sad, considering the popularity of the Boomers.
NBL goes it alone for broadcast deal
As a Doggies supporter we don’t need another inside midfielder…Sewell…no thanks
A key forward is what we need.
Scott Gumbleton is one I would like us to go for…there aren’t many out there.
INSIDE MID. NO.
One free agent your club would love to have

I hope you are right and it is $$$ being used to recruit a foreign star…rather than saving on bills…I have a feeling it will be the latter though 🙁
However Crooky does want to bring back the ‘bling’…but does the board?
Nicky Carle makes surprise switch to the UAE
Yes read this in The Age this morning…will be writing a letter to Channel 10 to express my views on the game and why the need it.
Nicky Carle makes surprise switch to the UAE
Good form. Ms. Wilson is a cow.
A letter to Ms Wilson after yet another attack on football
Completely agree with the comments above. The man had maybe one or two good seasons abroad and has now stagnated…you can give him a go in a friendly, but I have a feeling he won’t do much at all…he is practically begging for a Socceroos jersey…when with good form you usually pick yourself. At 29 as well? Like over 30 when Rio comes around…think you are having a laugh if you think he will lead our front line.
At the moment Scott McDonald is the only world-class striker we have. Proven scorer at an elite club level. We can only hope he may come good…he deserves more chances under Osieck over trialing Richard Porta.
Richard Porta: The forgotten man of Australian football
Hahaha love it. My uncle’s parents are Slovenia and they make insane cevapi…would love to see them at A-League grounds. Yum. I think you are right in them not taking up the meat pie…
Is Croatia the new Brazil for A-League recruitment?
As a fellow Toffee and convert due to St. Timmy this was a most pleasant read. We are looking very sharp and Jelavic is the genuine predator we have needed, and he is in the prime of his career. He will become a Everton legend. 6th place finish me thinks. Very happy with the sale of Rodwell also, he came off a poor year and like most British youngsters, he has been well over hyped. Show me the money I say. We will have a good year. Considering our poor starts, if we have an average start we will then storm home.
An Everton and Chelsea supporter preview their seasons
Shows FIFA rankings are a farce…Scotland definitely a serviceable team.
Very worrying signs that an over 30 year old Marco Bresciano is constantly our best player and leading attacks.
We have no striker.
Defence is a shambles and will get carved up by younger and faster players. Way too slow.
We look ‘terrific’ is close to the overstatement of the year.
Not good.
Socceroos beaten 3-1 in Scotland friendly
He just re-signed for 2 years…clearly our beloved Doggies did not read my article prior to re-signing him…hopefully he comes good, but in all honesty I would have liked to see him thrown up in the open market, to see what we could have got for him.
Western Bulldogs still a Jong way away
Ultimately the Suns have the cash, AFL would prefer him to move there also. Would be a big crowd puller for the Suns and will complement their small/medium forwards very nicely. Would I throw the entire kitchen sink at him? Absolutely.
Why the Gold Coast Suns need Kurt Tippett
I streamed this game online and was very disappointed with the standard of the game. On a technical basis the level is very similar to our own A-League, whilst there may be more ‘stars,’ the 8-10 players that are playing alongside them are very ordinary. This was a particularly bad game, as I have also watched some very high standard LA Galaxy games. Yes it is above the A-League. Not by much though…definitely some food for thought for Timmy boy and those who read his comments.
Cahill sets up New York soccer win
That is a very youthful team. Definitely would go for something like that against weaker opposition. If it were a friendly against a Singapore or Malaysia then I would definitely be more experimental. Troisi is another interesting one, as is Oar. Both very gifted.
Make or break year for our young Socceroos
Good read. The squad will be one of the most exciting in the A-League for sure, some of the best young talent.
As a Heart supporter the loss of Craig Goodwin will be felt, he looked a sensational player.
Just curious as to whether Tinkler will make one last big dollar purchase for the Jets before the season starts…hmmm
Newcastle Jets are taking off
Good to see someone liked my article yesterday so much that they decided to write on the exact same topic…
A-League's Heart beat has returned
Apologies for the ‘Aaron Hamill’ error, it will shortly read ‘Brendan Hamill’
As far as I’m concerned Seongnam Ilhwa have no need for an injury prone power centre-half forward.
Proof read not 99 times but 100 times.
Thanks for the feedback all.
