Rudes makes a double change at 90min. What’s the point of that?? The time to win the match at 3:1 down was at least 10 min ago!!!!

Clisby putting in a bewdiful scissor-type tackle on Penha but unfortunately was nowhere near the ball 😂

Looking ugly for Rudes tonight, 3:1 down against WUN with 10min to go 😱

So rainbow colours don’t do it for you?

And please, more dirt on Reds thanks.

Stuart, you’ve put yourself out there with a view of ‘life’ from the way you see it and it generally resonates with me. However when passion takes hold maybe sometimes some of us might get caught up in the moment and get involved when upon cooler reflection it was the dumb thing to do. We’ve seen very dumb things happen.

I can’t help but think that Marko Rudan’s saying that there is “an absolute stigma attached to my football club” would help stoke a sense of injustice amongst some WSW fans. A minority might even get up a head of steam on game day.

Isn’t it time for cooler heads to prevail, from fans to administrators to stadium security and police? Dial down the temperature and get back to talking about making game day safe and enjoyable for all.

Violence is not 'passion': Wanderers fans chuck a wobbly again... why is it always them?

I’m thinking of families and older folk. It’s like they’ve turned up to a riot 😱

Our Board

And the APL board let him loose and failed to rein him in until it was too late.

Current board members. You can see that if Townsend was squandering the monies that Silver Lake put into the APL, then Stephen Evans was at the table when this was happening (I’m presuming). Conroy came in towards the end of Townsend’s reign and maybe he started asking some serious questions (?).

THE HON STEPHEN CONROY
The Hon Stephen Conroy was appointed as Independent Chair of the Board in September 2023.

SCOTT BARLOW
Scott Barlow was appointed to the Board in December 2020. In 2012, Scott was appointed Chairman of Sydney FC.

STEPHEN EVANS
Stephen Evans is a Managing Director at Silver Lake, the global investment firm.

CHRIS FONG
Christopher Fong is the Chairman of Brisbane Roar FC and was appointed to the APL Board in December 2020.

EBRU KÖKSAL CFA
Ebru Köksal CFA was appointed to the Board in 2022 as Football Australia’s nominated board appointment.

PAUL LEDERER
Paul Lederer was appointed to the Board in December 2020, and was Chair of the Board until September 2023. He is also Chair of Western Sydney Wanderers.

ROB MORRISON
Rob Morrison was appointed to the Board in November 2023 and has been owner and Chairman of Wellington Phoenix Football Club since 2011.

SIMON PEARCE
Simon is a member of the boards of City Football Group and Manchester City Football Club. He is also Vice Chairman of Melbourne City FC and was appointed to the Board in December 2020.

“Foer example when the Police station their “horse brigade” outside the ground there is a genuine feel of intimidation.”

Agree with this 100% and have made this point in the past. Walking past the mounted police in riot gear makes you feel like you’re in an authoritarian state not Australia. It’s unncecesary and creates tension.

What kind of accent would that be ?????

I rest my case.

How do A-League fans convince police that passion is not a crime?

“It’s in stark contrast to the NRL and AFL – where fans are much more passive consumers than active participants in the game.”
If we believe this then we are a long way from properly analysing the so-called policing of active supporters in the A-league.
Believe it or not, there is just as much fan supporter passion at AFL games as you will find at A-league games. When was the last time you saw a news article concerning a fan at an AFL game run onto the pitch and throw a steel bucket loaded with sand at a player? In full view of the viewing audience at the ground and across the country.
The Victory fans who ran onto the pitch in December 2023 again reminded stadium security (and football administrators) that active supporters cannot be trusted. All of this is self inflicted pain and it ain’t going away anytime soon.

How do A-League fans convince police that passion is not a crime?

Hey Rudes, take a leaf out of Ange’s coaching manual. Stop balming refs, the APL and God knows who else. Yes, it’s actually you and the players that affect the result of a game.

'I take full responsibility': Rudan can't blame refs this time after Wanderers embarrassed in derby demolition

You can bet London to a brick that there will be many companies who will be announcing redundancies this year. The interest squeezes and consumer confidence have taken a hit.

The Roar's A-League Men tips and predictions: Round 19

Vidmar should be voluntarily walking the plank this morning. Kudos to Rado for recognising that he couldn’t take the team forward and handed in his resignation.

The Roar's A-League Men tips and predictions: Round 19

Nisbet’s miss was appalling from a professional. He took too many steps towards goal rather than backing himself to roll it in when there was nobody between himself and the goal. A player confined to the A-league.

City’s troubles started before Tolgay. The 2023 grand final thashing at the hands of CCM exposed the cracks.

The Roar's A-League Men tips and predictions: Round 18

City will be thumped by Sydney. You heard it first hear. Doom and gloom followed by blight and pestilence. It doesn’t get any better than that for Vidmar I’m afraid.

“ Western Sydney Wanderers forward Marcus Antonsson will be sidelined for the next eight weeks due to an ankle injury.”

Western Sydney Wanderers dealt injury blow with star facing extended layoff

Eight weeks for Farrell’s mad challenge.

Bruno-less Victory fire blanks, Pelligra Group hope to restore Glory days, was Rudan ban appropriate?

The kid Farrell at times borders on wreckless. He could easily have broken an ankle or two with his silly lunges. A lot of potential but needs a wiser head om his shoulders or does he enjoy seeing people going to the sick bay. He’ll be joining them if he isn’t careful.

Bruno-less Victory fire blanks, Pelligra Group hope to restore Glory days, was Rudan ban appropriate?

Toothless goal scoring capability from City and Victory otherwise Vucks dominated the game and should have won by the stretch of Flemington race course.

City are in a funk for probably a variety of reasons. I think Rado could see this and he chose to jump ship knowing that it was beyond him to fix the problems.

JMac can’t buy a goal but he isn’t being served by his team mates who continue to ignore his runs. Oh for the days of Mooy.
