prohibitively expensive – so costly its not gunna happen … i meant that its too expensive to actually do the job, not buy a ticket to the game ….. whats your point re top 3 attendances & being a rich country, u wanna make the price of attendance so high that its only reserved for the rich ? … read a bit more carefully before accusing me of being delusional, i said “one of the best stadiums”
Finals Fix: They just pumped Port - and here's why the Giants might be Collingwood's worst nightmare too
the tiges had a home ground .. so did all the other melbourne teams, they werent up to scratch with the ‘modern’ game & realistically would be prohibitively expensive to refurb or even impossible to rejig to allow decent crowd numbers with most surrounded by park land which i imagine would be nigh impossible to get access to (rightly so). building new stadiums would be even more expensive & where do u find the available land? … weagles & dockers share a ground, so do port & crows, why shouldnt some vic teams share what is one of the best stadiums in the country ?

pretty sure gil is a crow eater, just appoint the best candidate, regardless of where they come from

I’d make everyone play each other twice that would make things fairer in terms of everyone having an equal draw, good idea but hard to see it get up … still doesnt alter the fact that non vic teams travel more, would prob make it happen even more
Finals Fix: They just pumped Port - and here's why the Giants might be Collingwood's worst nightmare too
apart from not having to go to tassie (which the afl does for revenue reasons, same as the non vic teams getting 2 derbies every year), what advantageous fixturing do they get ? they dont get any extra home games compared to the rest of the league. sure they dont travel as much but with the majority of clubs located in vic how do u propose to change that ?

yeah getting annoyed at playing at docklands prob sounds a bit petulant but i guess like most teams we prefer to play at our home ground & not have a home game scheduled at a ground we dont play as well at … recall a team in ’20 that didnt do very well when deprived of mums home cooking in the hubs, so it happens with other teams as well
Finals Fix: They just pumped Port - and here's why the Giants might be Collingwood's worst nightmare too
re jimbo not sure its not said in jest, im referring more to how some people constantly moan about afl bias towards “the BIG vic clubs”, ie umpiring to favour them, fixturing in their favour etc, never accepting that maybe their preferred result didnt happy cause their team wasnt good enough… recall some of the carry on back in ’17 & ’19 was astounding, anyone who thinks the afl would not have much rather that their love child GWS won it in ’19 is kidding themselves
Finals Fix: They just pumped Port - and here's why the Giants might be Collingwood's worst nightmare too
get your vic-whining in early hey … fair dinkum some of the anti vic moaning on this site is out of control, do they have all u interstaters chanting “is vic is bad, is non vic is good” or something to that effect from early childhood to really implant it in your heads ? 😛 😂

a major difference with cotchin is that he went for & got the ball before colliding with shiel … and the afl’s stance on head high contact has changed a lot since 2017

just amazing gary, just cause i say i dont like politics intruding into sport u assume i dont like equality or change for the better ? perhaps u have trouble with anyone having any ideas different to your own, maybe youre a closed minded bigoted individual ?
The AFL shouldn’t sit in silence: why it should support the Voice at the Grand Final
personally i watch footy for the enjoyment of the game, would prefer not to have politics intrude on that … the matildas & what they achieved were great, but can u explain how they are more diverse & authentic than the afl ?

yep eddy everywhere is pretty articulate , unfortunately most of what he says so eloquently is irrelevant non stop drivel designed to give his massive ego more air time
Has Luke Beveridge made the most of the Western Bulldogs' talent, or is he all smoke and mirrors?
so does this rumour hold any more substance than the previous hysterical media beat up about his supposed move to sydney a year or two ago ?
TOM MORRIS: Why a Dusty-Dimma reunion makes sense... but not for 13 more months
dont forget its only cause of the horrific unprecedented in the history of the game injury list and the coach wont pick the players i want or play the way i reckon (cause i know best) & anyway its all an east coast vfl conspiracy

u really dont think its a factor?
AFL News: Hinkley locked in at last, Riewoldt the retiring type, hobbled Hawks star's career in limbo
yeah good effort but helped by arguably the best home grown advantage in the comp, might explain why they got there so often & then were found out come finals

Fyfe’s Brownlows ….. now that i cant remember, maybe i got old timers disease too … btw is fyfe still playing ?
AFL News: Hinkley locked in at last, Riewoldt the retiring type, hobbled Hawks star's career in limbo
very simplistic take on it cat, u do realize there were different assistants throughout that period, many of those assistants have gone on to other clubs without bringing ultimate success to their new clubs. geelong had some support staff changes leading into ’22, when u consider scotts previous lack of finals success using your logic obviously the ’22 flag must be attributed to those new assistants.

that old timers disease is really kicking in it seems
AFL News: Hinkley locked in at last, Riewoldt the retiring type, hobbled Hawks star's career in limbo
3 of the last 6 is plenty recent, certainly more recent than it is for 15 other clubs … and most definitely recent enough to still do your tiny little mind in
AFL News: Hinkley locked in at last, Riewoldt the retiring type, hobbled Hawks star's career in limbo
yeah a bit like all these people attributing the tiges recent flags to all the coaching assistants, not hardwick

yeah absolutely right, the first statement he should come out with as the new coach should go something like this “yeah the list is filled with a bunch of pathetic spuds, we will be lucky to win a game”
