If I was running the Titans, first two players cut would be Bird and Zillman. Bird isn’t worth the hassles of lack of discipline off field, a penalty magnet on it.

I agree with him. Basic skills just aren’t there. Aussie forwards are just lumbering big fellas with none of the footwork or ball skills of the kiwi forwards. Backs have no real size or speed as well as not all having much decent passing or kicking skills.

From bad to worse for the poor Titans. Hayne has dragged them down big time since he joined them. 2 wins and 4 losses with Hayne making some very poor errors in the last 2 games really cost the Coast. Before his signing they were on a roll and playing really well as a team

Maxwell is a high risk, high reward player. I would definitely have him at 6 in the test side as he will come off more times than Mitch Marsh does. Plus he’s not injury prone like marsh is.

Wade has to play. Nevill can’t be carried in the team any longer. He was poor with the gloves in Sri Lanka. Wade already has 2 test hundreds in 6 less test matches than Nevill. We have to figure out are we going to carry a solid keeper in Nevill who makes no runs or a average keeper in wade who can average 35 to 40.

We have to work out if runs from our keeper are more important than a dropped catch here and there. Nevill didn’t have a great test series with the gloves either. Plus his batting has been atrocious in nearly 20 tests, he averages around 22. Simply not good enough considering our fragile batting order these days. Wade has 2 hundreds and averages 35 in 12 tests. We can’t carry Nevill anymore. I’d say wade keep until whiteman is ready

Okeefe has to play every test on this tour as his ability in these conditions is far better than Lyons. Both of them should play. Add in Okeefes batting and you could even drop Marsh and play another quick like Bird

Lyon has been out bowled by okeefe just about every time they’ve played together. Okeefe is a far superior bowler than him in sub continental conditions. Okeefe’s a tour of last year showed his quality there.
Having said that, Lyon is the man at the moment. Both should play

Well well. Okeefe top scores in the match and takes 10 wickets. Surely the great Lyon can’t do that. If okeefe wasn’t an Aussie he would’ve played 50 tests by now.

Tim, okeefe can only do his best in the chances given. In both tests he’s played so far, he’s out bowled Lyon. Most times they play together for the blues, he outbowls Lyon. He’s done as much as he can really.
Plus his very successful A tour of India last year shows his ability in sub continental conditions. Both spinners should play

A hilarious game with lots of drama. Blues seemed to think they’d won the World Cup or something. Still think a good flare up would rid the rest of a game from all the cheap shots from both sides.
Qld looked very one dimensional and need some much needed youth, size and aggression next year in the forwards. Myles and Thaiday should’ve played their last games. Definitely needed a utility back on the bench as four forwards was a mistake.
