10km to go and Gallopin’s gap has grown slightly.

Tour de France Stage 11: live commentary, blog

12km to go. Gallopin has about 15m on the bunch. This is going to be a fast descent and it’s pretty technical, too.

Tour de France Stage 11: live commentary, blog

Cannondale’s De Marchi is hammering after Gallopin – they desperately want this to go to a sprint finish for Sagan.

Tour de France Stage 11: live commentary, blog

Gallopin wore the yellow jersey for a day on Bastille Day, so he’s having a great Tour.

Tony Martin has been dropped.

Porte is there too and looking attentive.

An attack from Tony Gallopin of Lotto-Belisol!

Gerrans has rejoined the lead bunch, but he’s about 25 riders back so needs to be careful if there’s another split.

Tour de France Stage 11: live commentary, blog

Gerrans and Porte missed the split, but it’s being brought back together now.

Nibali is in the front group, as is Sagan and it looks like Valverde.

Tour de France Stage 11: live commentary, blog

THe peloton has split on this short descent, but I can’t see who is in the front group.

Tour de France Stage 11: live commentary, blog

Roche is caught by Tony Martin!

Tour de France Stage 11: live commentary, blog

Roche is only about 50m in front of the chasers. It’s a tricky little descent, but he’s about to be swept up.

Talansky watch: 22’24” in arrears.

Tour de France Stage 11: live commentary, blog

Roche has 9″ so I don’t like his chances with 18.5km to go.

Tour de France Stage 11: live commentary, blog

Roche wins the day’s final climb. There’s a little uncategorised climb to come, then a descent to the finish.

Tour de France Stage 11: live commentary, blog

Durbridge still setting tempo as he grabs a bottle.

A crash in the main field – Scarponi and Jose Serpa come together and hit the deck.

Bakelants, Herrada and Gaultier are caught. Only Roche remains in front.

Tour de France Stage 11: live commentary, blog

Roche is now solo in the lead and has about 28″ to the peloton.

Simon Yates setting the tempo for the peloton.

Purito Rodrguez has popped – the King of the Mountains not having a good day today. He’s been inconsistent after a shocking season for injuries, but such a classy bike rider.

Luke Durbridge is now doing a turn as Yates cracks.

Elmiger pops. Long day for him!

Gaultier and Roche distancing Herrada and Bakelants slightly.

Tour de France Stage 11: live commentary, blog

Right, time for this last categorised climb.

Roche has attacked the leaders! He has been neutralised though.

Tour de France Stage 11: live commentary, blog

That gap is about 200m. Three Cannondale and three OGE doing the chasing. Strong performance from both teams today.

Cannondale and OGE riding angry on the front of the chase.

Tour de France Stage 11: live commentary, blog

Bakelants, Roche, Elmiger, Gaultier and Herrada have just 17″ lead with 28km to go.

Can they make it? Nope.

Tour de France Stage 11: live commentary, blog

Beautiful roads to descend, in fact it’s been stunning scenery for this stage, all blue-green lakes, bucolic charm, forests and fields. And aircraft in paddocks, obviously.

Tour de France Stage 11: live commentary, blog

Only one more climb today, the Cat 3 Côte d’Échallon.

The 5 leaders still have a gap of 29″.

Talansky is just under 20′ behind, so he’s maintaining his hope of surviving the day.

Tour de France Stage 11: live commentary, blog

Gerrans is still in the peloton looking good. As are Porte, Nibali, Valverde and Sagan. All poised for an interesting finish in just over 33km, but the last 15km will be super fast.
