Why is it irrelevant to Australian rugby supporters? You cut out the Rebels, you cut out the pathway which has created more than half a dozen internationals in past 5 years alone. You’re coming at this from a biased kiwi point of view clearly. Have you seen the highlanders and crusaders this year? Maybe we should be talking about cutting NZ to 4 teams.

Tupou hasn’t helped them and Rebels pay a fraction of his contract. LSL been their only new signing from last year which has made them demonstrably better, and they got a great deal on him, as his wife didn’t want to live in Northampton anymore.

Imagine having to front up for a club and not knowing if you have a job next season and play some of the toughest club teams in the world. Imagine having to play a game when you hear RA voted against keeping you in a job. Your comments are heartless mate.

Kevin Foote’s comments asking for RA to show leadership and their intentions is completely justified. RA are just so horribly run by Waugh and Herbert.

Falling off tackles is a coaching issue because if players understand the structure and patterns, they’re in position quicker and more often to make easier first-up hits. The structure was not good and has not been good all year. We have a club-level coach who is parading as SR standard.

We should be able to defend and show some grit without him, given we have played better part of 18 months without him. Sadly, we are just so soft up front some days and we miss too many tackles. That is both coaching and player desire, which is instilled by the former.

You’re right in saying the competition is flawed. It should be a home and away competition, even if SR has to run through the mid-year July tests and play finals in August. Current season is a dog’s brekky and systematically rigged depending on each individual side’s draw of who they play twice.

The only issue with English premiership is many teams are out of contention for finals with a month plus of rugby to go. England PR was set to expand finals to 6 teams before 3 went to dust.

This is a massive gamble for Townsend. Spending big money on Mosese in a climate where their 20s are getting battered and there is general discontent in Scotland about pathways for local-born players, if it doesn’t work out, this will have huge ramifications for Townsend’s tenure too.

I was wrong, I wasn’t aware we brought it in, and shouldn’t Roar after a couple pints. Accept my humble apologies. I still think the retained title sucks and needs to go. 3 game series is my preferred choice or, if not possible, total points scored across two tests in case of a tied 1-1 series.
