RA's target of a third tier in 2024 raises a whole heap of questions in desperate need of answers

“5. This is a really important matter that does need delving into and addressing. If you believe The Roar should be covering this properly, I’d suggest aiming that criticism at someone writing one column a week is the wrong target..”

In other words, this is really someone elses problem.

RA's target of a third tier in 2024 raises a whole heap of questions in desperate need of answers

Mick, I have said it before but you need to move on from your boy being overlooked by Rugby. He is killing it at the Bulldogs and I wish that Penrith got him. Eddie Jones, Hamish McLennan and the people on this thread just don’t care, so don’t let it affect them. I grew Playing Rugby in Samoa and here but both my kids play league now and I couldn’t be happier. My eldest is at Penrith training at world class facilities and has the opportunity to represent Australia or Samoa, Rugby is all about forgetting who you are and trying to fit in with the rich crowd, I’m glad he doesn’t belong there.

Exclusive: 'I back him 1000%' - RA chair endorses Eddie's 'bold, brave' Wallabies selection for RWC

I’m sorry but this 10 Percent claim is just rubbish. This year has been a disaster for Rugby. One team of five barely performed in Super Rugby and then crashed hard in NZ. We lose to the Pumas regularly now and Sydney is a graveyard for wins and ticket sales. Quit the false hope BS, Eddie had no idea and is just rinsing Australia for a retirement plan and an ego boost

'Unbearable to watch': Superstar's struggles sum up woes - but Eddie just 10 percent away from a breakthrough

This is a great rant Terry.

Wallabies defeat wasn’t about winning or losing. It was about discovery

It’s becoming laughable now, the Monday after a super Rugby final and he’s still talking about the NRL. Give up the fight Eddie it’s done, come to Penrith and see how many Rugby kids now play league, then you’ll know how stupid these statements are

Bombshell or bunkum? Eddie makes brazen prediction of 'big name' NRL defections

Why ar they playing the Tahs in Townsville? This is the one good chance of a crowd at Suncorp.

Five things to look forward to in the second half of Super Rugby Pacific

Love seeing a game played in Apia, so many memories playing there as a kid.

Also this Comp needs an overhaul if a team as bad as the Reds can make the finals

'It's a baby step': Reds snap winless run to keep finals hopes alive and relieve pressure on Thorn

This is the problem with the super rugby coverage in Oz this year Tez, the teams concede over 40 points and we spend all our time looking for positives.

'Significant': Hodge's injury adds to Rebels' pain as Gordon, Wilkin shine again

Yeah it seems everyone has had something to say on this (especially Vlandys) except his actual employer. Weird that in all these stories the Roar haven’t reached out to Souths for comment?

Rugby News: NRL gun leaves door ajar to join Wallabies ahead of RWC, Samu set for French move

This article – which Doran has written 3 times already – shows a sad state affairs got both codes. The fact that on the eve of the NRL season both 9 and the Roar are talking about Rugby is a bad look for league. The fact that Union has to keep drawing in another code and basically airing it’s wishlist I public shows how bad a state it’s in. The issue that’s being overlooked by RA is that a generation of Polynesian kids – like my son and nephews I’d being lost in front of their eyes. Players like Suaalii can play for toa and the blues while getting a million a year and staying connected to his community. In Rugby the money can be better but he basically has to give denounce his samoan roots, add to that there is no more top flight rugby in western Sydney, you can sign as many NRL players as you want but the next 5 Suaalii’s will walk out the back door

'Could be a zinger for World Cup': RA chair says Eddie is in NRL's 'heads' as star name dropped

Yeah and all the talented kids travelled off to Souths training after his visit. It is part of a bigger problem that kids just aren’t attracted to rugby anymore.

ANALYSIS: In just 30 minutes Eddie Jones managed what Castle and Rennie couldn't in three years

You have had your angry pills today Mick, saw the boy is with the Dogs again. Good luck this season mate.

ANALYSIS: In just 30 minutes Eddie Jones managed what Castle and Rennie couldn't in three years

Exactly right Numpty

ANALYSIS: In just 30 minutes Eddie Jones managed what Castle and Rennie couldn't in three years

No peace here, the union hate the League some of the stuff they were saying about Chieka coaching League was borderline defamatory.

Ada and Canada show peace can exist between the rugby codes

Mick what happened to Latrell signing with the Waratahs?
He’s just resigned with South’s?

Ada and Canada show peace can exist between the rugby codes

The World cup this year showed that the pull of League and the NRL is bigger than ever for both men and Women, especially the Pasifika people. The ARU and NZRU need to find a way to address this and fast or all of the Pasifika kids will watch and play League now.

Ada and Canada show peace can exist between the rugby codes

The Panthers will never let them do it Jake, they have the pick of all the players now and they won’t give it up. The championship winning Flegg side has 6 notable ex Rugby juniors in it, all great young players who now live and breathe the Panthers. If the Tahs move in they will have competition for those players.

NRL grand final week proves rugby’s failings in the west

Good job belittling and insulting the whole of Western Sydney.

NRL grand final week proves rugby’s failings in the west

Very well said Terry, unfortunately for RA they won’t learn from this

NRL grand final week proves rugby’s failings in the west

Yeah I can’t see latrell helping the sponsors sell $700 dollar pairs of boots and Range rovers. The guy is the best playetr in either code at the moment and would probably go to the Tahs but Rugby would not want hi, he is not the right fit.

The Wrap: How is it that when the Wallabies lose, support for Dave Rennie goes up?

You wouldn’t know how many supporters they have Geoff, they refuse to announce attendances.

The Wrap: How the Rebels are trying to bridge the chasm between club and Super rugby

They really did, McLennan drew them out.

The Wrap: How the Rebels are trying to bridge the chasm between club and Super rugby

I took my boy down there a few years ago to tour the facilities and trial for both the Rebels and the Storm and the two franchises are very different with different goals.
The Storm are essentially a QLD team playing in Melbourne, they gave very little interest in developing the sport in Vic, during a seminar that constantly talked about winning the NRL and building an Aussie sporting dynasty, not much else.
The Rebels are very much a development team, they have well thought out plans and strategies about developing Vic players and getting them into the Wallabies, winning the super Rugby seems to be a secondary effort.
Which is why the people of Melbourne have embraced the storm and the Rebels don’t really have any cut through in the community, Aussies love a winner.

The Wrap: How the Rebels are trying to bridge the chasm between club and Super rugby

That’s because the Panthers are awesome Tez, just ask your Eels ha ha.
I think the Rebel’s probably get sick of being in the Storm’s shadow, they have 40 memebers and get really good crowds.
although the rebels seem to do a lot more publicity, it must annoy them.
