Round 1 of the 2019 Rugby World Cup demonstrated what we already knew: there is some serious quality at this tournament, with New Zealand,…
Hindsight is a wonderful thing
ANZAC Round showed New Zealand teams still well ahead in terms of SRP scorelines, but are the Aussies slowly closing the gap?
Blues fan here, I was cheering for the reds against crusaders in full voice
ANZAC Round showed New Zealand teams still well ahead in terms of SRP scorelines, but are the Aussies slowly closing the gap?
They were underdogs, but mainly on reputation. There was clearly an opportunity to make some money backing the Reds for those who watch the game closely. Like a fool I identified the opportunity but didn’t implement …
Reds snap 25-year drought in Christchurch to beat Crusaders as Wilson, Ryan star
Yep blues were exposed for much of the match, and if the rebs had taken all their opportunities, may have been in front for that 10
Tahs hammered by Hurricanes as finals hopes hang by a thread
Agree on both fronts. If the Rebels had taken all their chances they would have been up by plenty at half time. And those scrum resets over and over again were torturous to watch, such a blight on the game
Blues turn it on late to smash Rebels as gun young lock finally stands
Agreed, and actually even before that when he was assistant coach at the blues donkeys years ago they won the title as well for the last time
Why Schmidt isn't sweating about Wallabies star's cross-code temptation
Yeah, but I think because he also prioritises consistency around doing processes correctly, he backs himself to bring together a cohesive team regardless of the actual players. Just that will raise the results percentage I reckon. I mean Ireland were a bunch of journeymen when he first got hold of them
Why Schmidt isn't sweating about Wallabies star's cross-code temptation
Yeah but DuPont has commercial opportunities at least 10 times that, I am sure. Not sure the top league guys are on billboards in Paris, London and wherever else
Why Schmidt isn't sweating about Wallabies star's cross-code temptation
well for starters league doesn’t have a world cup final watched by around 100 million people. League dudes also don’t get to play in some the world’s great stadiums in Europe, South Africa and Japan. Besides that I take your point
The insurmountable problem facing Australian rugby in a doomed rivalry with New Zealand
Schmidt makes great comments and sounds co calm and in control of what he will do. Still it wouldn’t have hurt to question him about his thoughts on the south Africa model, which has delivered pretty well
Why Schmidt isn't sweating about Wallabies star's cross-code temptation
Most cynical comment I think I have read on here, and there has been some stiff competition
Why Schmidt isn't sweating about Wallabies star's cross-code temptation
Very refreshing totally agree
Why Schmidt isn't sweating about Wallabies star's cross-code temptation
He used to be an assistant at the blues as well
Why Schmidt isn't sweating about Wallabies star's cross-code temptation
Agree
Super Rugby shows that the Bledisloe Cup isn't going anywhere - one selection could give the Wallabies hope
Perofeta hasn’t shown any indication he might be ready to own the 10 position at international level. I think Mackenzie has matured a lot and I expect good things from this year in tests. He is certainly head and shoulders above anyone else in NZ at the moment
Super Rugby shows that the Bledisloe Cup isn't going anywhere - one selection could give the Wallabies hope
Please don’t think this author’s views are representative of the kiwi rugby view. He doesn’t have a clue what he is talking about
Super Rugby shows that the Bledisloe Cup isn't going anywhere - one selection could give the Wallabies hope
He’s only not wanted by this author, who doesn’t seem to know his head from his elbow
Super Rugby shows that the Bledisloe Cup isn't going anywhere - one selection could give the Wallabies hope
Agree with the premise of your comment except for the part when you said the author was right
Super Rugby shows that the Bledisloe Cup isn't going anywhere - one selection could give the Wallabies hope
I agree, lots of stars aligning
Super Rugby shows that the Bledisloe Cup isn't going anywhere - one selection could give the Wallabies hope
Terrible article. Smacks of arrogance on the one hand while the commentary on Mackenzie is borderline snide on the other. In general the tone is so smug I think I need a shower after reading it

What a game could have gone either way. Well played both teams. Does it mean Blues are tied with canes on points now?
'Heartbreaking': Blues sink Reds with post-siren try after rising star scores epic hat-trick
They could just play deeper. The great players like larkham backed themselves and still played close
'Purely coincidental': Chiefs coach defends bruiser after ANOTHER late shot leaves Tah flattened - but was it legal?
Crappy, tacky, cheap and downright decrepit stadiums across the country – this is the curse of sport in NZ based on (un)economic reality
'We have to keep the essence of what rugby is about': All Black legend's worrying words of warning
Perofeta is not up to the required standard. I would have quite liked zarn to have been given an extended crack at 10 before the injury.
But for mine if roigard was available he is streets ahead of tj
The forgotten leader Razor must pick for the All Blacks - and why it could change who wears the prized No.10 jersey
I like the idea of having JOC in there if he can get a few games on the bounce and run into form. Even if just in the wider squad, his experience and new found maturity will be beneficial in my view
The five candidates for the Wallabies No.10 jersey - and the old heads who may sneak in to join them
