Based on how Mogg and Lealiifano performed last week they are lucky to make the Vikings 15.

If the Vikings can’t get a big win this weekend there are some serious problems.

I’d move Coleman closer to the action (10 or 12 was where he started out with Queanbeyan). He was their best player last week and didn’t see the ball much (thanks to the backline being incapable of three passes without a knock-on).

So you hold children to the same standards as adults?

Disgusting.

Booing Adam Goodes a poor look for the AFL

As a Brumbies fan I fully endorse the Wallabies getting Cheika (anything to get him away from the Tahs).

Clear the slate, Ewen, start again

Look, he provides immense cover for Smith and Nonu if either go down (which is not exactly unrealistic based on the last few weeks). Why wouldn’t you want him there?

It also ensures the All Black centres can go hell for leather early in the game because they don’t have to last the full 80.

The “Bill” just isn't worth it for Sonny!

We might have got a more boring team if we had chosen Jake White as coach (then again the McKenzie Wallabies aren’t exactly setting the world alight in attack), but I can’t see a Jake White team being completely torn to shreds like that.

Clear the slate, Ewen, start again

Hooper always has a ridiculously high workrate. I think people conflate that with his effectiveness.

I’m going to hazard a guess that it’s something to do with publicly bullying a young girl who didn’t know any better, and then receiving an Australian of the Year award for his trouble.

Sounds fun.

All Blacks dismantle Wallabies at Eden Park

I think you will find no-one actually failed a drug test.

Sharks sanctions could be overruled

I hear ADFA great internet.

At least good enough for Skype.

You read on Crickey that News Ltd isn’t going well?

and I read in the Pyongang Daily Post that Kim Jong is admired world wide.

The Wallabies have an image problem

Just got back from Viking Park. A couple of observations.

a) Lealiifano is getting worse, not better. If the Brumbies retain him as goal kicker next year they have serious problems.

b) Mogg was one of the worst players on the park. Considering he is a paid professional that is quite worrying.

c) Auelua and Coleman were both sensational.

Canberra Vikings vs Perth Spirit: NRC result, blog, live scores

Poor article. Very poor article.

“The first Bledisloe Cup Test of 2014 was the most important game the Wallabies have played since the 2003 World Cup final.”

2007 QF, 2011 QF, 2011 SF and all three Lions tests.

…and how exactly was it more important than any other opening Bledisloe game?

Without Bledisloe victory 2014 is a write-off for the Wallabies

Let’s just say there is a reason Rudd demoted Jason Clare and Kate Lundy when he made his comeback.

If the ASADA investigation was a root and branch review of drugs in Australian sport, rather than a very public witch-hunt designed to save Gillard’s government, we might actually have got somewhere.

The fact that 18 months later not a single criminal charge has been laid says it all.

The latest ASADA move will end in a stalemate... again

ASADA are clearly terrified of this farce ending up in a real courtroom (as opposed to their own Kangaroo setup).

If they actually had any confidence in their investigation they wouldn’t be offering such a light slap on the wrist.

Agree except I’d have McCabe at wing instead of Horne,

largely academic as the position is just a placeholder for Speight.

Kurtley isn't an inside centre, he's a second five-eighth

Hard to say as a Brumbies fan, but Nic White is not the player he was 12 months ago and needs to go until he sorts out his box kick (or puts it away). Stating the obvious but Foley for Beale is another no-brainer.

9. Phipps, 10. Foley, 11. AAC, 12. Toomua, 13. Kuridrani, 14 McCabe and 15 Folau would be my backline.

Ronan,

O’Keefe could average 20 with the ball and 50 with the bat and the selectors still wouldn’t consider him.

Just hope Souths fans don’t buy up all the Grand Final tickets (again).

They will choke in the semis and most Roosters and Manly fans would like the attend the game this year.

I don’t think any Australian has their national identity tied up in a sporting team so much that they would care if we lost.

When the Australian cricket team loses the collective reaction is usually “well it’s nice to see someone else have a go.”
When the Australian swim team loses the reaction is usually “Magnussen is a prat so it’s nice to see someone beat him.”
When the Australian RL team loses literally no-one cares.
When the Australian RU team loses everyone was expecting it anyway.

Who has the most to lose in the Rugby Championship?
