Thanks Rocco. BMW have expressed in no uncertain terms their LMP1 involvement would have to include a Hydrogen element, while restrictions in LMP2 have sent many teams rushing to IMSA (including Mazda) to show off their technology. Definitely will be an interesting few years.

Where to now for WEC?

Very kind of you Rayzaau. You’ll be pleased to know BR Engineering and Dallara have teamed up to produce an LMP1 project for 2018.

Where to now for WEC?

Playing between the lines. It’s always been a marker for sports played with one ball… 😉

Will Bernie's wall make Formula One great again?

Thanks Mark. Let’s just say nothing is accidental where Tom W is involved.

Brawn isn't the new Ecclestone

He worked out the turbo rules and worked them to Mercedes’ advantage throughout the teams negotiation process. Didn’t get much reward for that foresight

Mercedes let points go through to the keeper

There will be plenty of ‘if’s’ and ‘buts’ to draw upon at season’s end, but for the items that are within the team’s control it does provide a good reference.

Mercedes let points go through to the keeper

No doubt someone will always find a way to steal a march on the opposition, then what seems like a breath of fresh air will inevitably become tiresome again.

Lewis' Law: Just don't call it a comeback

Cheers David.

Formula One's escape from New York a strategic nightmare

Timing Dale. Its all about timing.

Formula One's escape from New York a strategic nightmare

If anything, F1’s digital base will have a lot more cohesion under Liberty than it has of late – even its Instagram account is subject to comments better reserved for urinal advertising. It should also afford those those not able/willing to pay for a Sky subscription more access.

Will Liberty liberate Bernie?

Glock’s driving ability dwarf’s mine, but having driven a greasy track on slicks on numerous occasions I’m still gobsmacked when people still question his effort on that last lap.

There’s faster drivers and there’s smarter drivers… And then there’s politics.

Felipe Massa - A champion for the underdog

I think Glock was pretty blameless in Brazil. The Crashgate mob in Singapore however…

Felipe Massa - A champion for the underdog

Thanks Patrick. He’s a lovely bloke and a thoughtful soul.

Bernie has great affection for young Verstappen. Wonder if this will influence his opinion of the European tour?

Is Max Verstappen the best thing to happen to Formula One?

I guess that’s it Johnno. Sport over-schedules now within an inch of it’s life, but given that you’d think the sport’s stakeholders would spend as much time as possible crafting the best highlights package to sell their product.

The year F1 ripped my face off and I loved every moment

Cheers Fred. Salad days!

Crossroads or crosshairs at Ferrari?

It’s more a question of leadership. Plus it takes a while for implementations to bear fruit and Mercedes are benefitting enormously from an engine regulation framework brokered by Brawn.

Yep. Benetton also had an inferior car in 1995… Did quite well considering!

Crossroads or crosshairs at Ferrari?

If that’s true then 90% of the grid at Silverstone 2008 should have retired on the spot – likewise Donington 1993. But then Barrichello put in a blinder there too and faced the same darts and arrows towards the end of his F1 career that Massa now does. And so the cycle continues…

Felipe Massa considers life after Williams

Someone must either have forgotten to renew their ‘media scandal and impropriety’ insurance policy or Lewis forgot to actually trash the hotel room as stipulated in his PR stunt Snapchat campaign.

Mercedes feud: The fight gets hotter

The new power units have placed a lot more demands on brakes and “critical” could be viewed as relative phrase. The brakes mightn’t have the same bite and consistency as the previous lap. In braking for a 90 degree corner this mightn’t be as noticeable, but in a faster, constant radius corner (perhaps with a camber change) this would greatly affect the stability of the car if the driver can’t balance the weight properly. If you’re on the limit of adhesion, it doesn’t take much to throw you off into a wall.

One for Aki Hintsa possibly…

Dissecting Lewis and Nico's Austrian feud

787B if we’re going to be pedantic. ‘The’ and ‘A’ appear to have been ships in the night it seems. Doesn’t take much to start and avalanche these days does it.

Porsche snatches a Toyota Le Mans crown

Not really. Just simple memory recall.
