Every club has some hits and misses in the draft. I would be questioning maybe how they’ve been developing those players.
Long, cold winter ahead for Western Bulldogs
Wouldn’t put it beyond them but I think they are behind a few other clubs right now and I can’t see them making a Grand Final unless a get a top 2 spot which would mean a home qualifying final and/or primarily final.
Dockers can win the flag in 2013
Chris Grant kicked 50 goals in his first year and is still the youngest player too reach the mark in a year.
Are we witnessing the best debut season ever?
If CA want too grow the BBL then free too air has to be the way too go, as some one who doesn’t have Foxtel it’s hard too care about a league I’ve never seen a ball off. The fact that Ten would be willing too show Ryobi Cup and Shield cricket is a massive boost for CA and sponsors.
Channel Ten fires $500m bid for cricket rights
So because it’s purely Australian they shouldn’t play it? Tell your kids not too listen too Cold Chisel, Paul Kelly etc because they also have no international relevance.
Women breaking into the world of AFL
In a contact sport like AFL or NRL, it simply can’t happen at that level. Imagine Johnathan Brown or Willie Mason running through a woman? would they be labeled woman bashers? that would be my main concern with awollowing them too play at that level, assuming they were good enough.

Yes Kallis grew up without T20 but even so he can still adjust too each level, even without growing up needing too always be attacking the bowler he has still had success in T20 because of his technique. The best batsman will always adjust to what’s in front off them and unlucky many young batsmen today, Kallis has been exposed too many different conditions and has experience batting in them.
T20 cricket not to blame for Australia's batting woes
They’ve always adapted too different formats though, always been short turn around from a Shield match too a 50 over match.
T20 cricket not to blame for Australia's batting woes
The season has always been stop-start though. Sure there maybe a bigger gap in it now when it was just the Christmas break but still don’t think it would have that big of an impact on batting.

Size isn’t an issue if you perform in my mind. Cosgrove’s stats probably should have earned him a go before a lot of blokes, but think your being a bit harsh on Roger’s, his been consistently making runs for years now and despite his age his been in front of Cosgrove for a while.
Mark Cosgrove deserves a Test run
If they wanted co-captains I don’t get why Jones wasn’t included with them.
JOHNNO: Demons’ captaincy experiment has failed
Played his role when all the home team needs too do is draw to win the Shield.
Are Australia the new West Indies?
Sick off hearing this “sports people are role models” crap. The most important role model should be the parents. Hell rockstars have done a lot worse then worse then most sport stars and they are celebrated for it, yet we want the sports people too be role models.
On the winning culture. well off course they are trained too go for the win. I don’t like bad sportsmanship but whenever you are out there in sport who should be doing whatever it takes too gain an advantage over your opponent (within the rules off course) If that means sledging, bending the rules then go for it. It’s not like Australia is the only country in the world too have this win at all costs attitude.
Australia is a nation of the worst possible losers
It’s a disgrace that the BCCI is allowed so much influence. The whole idea off technology for the DRS being inaccurate is paranoid bulldust at best. The way the media has also been held too ransom for the right too cover the series has also been a disgrace, it;s crap like this that will lead too the death of Test cricket.
The ICC should tell the Indian board to get stuffed
Heath Streak is underrated in these debates. Pretty much carried a sides bowling attack in 65 Tests taking 216 wickets but alos scored 1 hundred and 11 50s. He probably wouldn’t replace anyone on the list but his a name worth mentioning.
The greatest all-rounder since 1970 (part II)
It’s a broken record but Hodge can be counted unlucky as well.

Might be a bit harsh on Watson but his batting has been a massive let down and is injury prone. I’ve lost patience, I don’t care about his bowling because he is a top order batsman and therfore his main job is too score runs which he hasn’t done enough off. Our batting is a real problem and I’m not sold on Hughes still or Khawjia. We aren’t going too dominate the English bowlers so our best hope is too dominate their batsmen. Johnson batting at 7 does make the batting line up look weaker but I think it gives us enough variety in the bowling attack too make up for it.
Six months out, here's my Ashes squad
Don’t like the idea off Watson as captain, the only reason his vie-captain is because off lack off options. However Clarke has proved me wrong on his captaincy skills so Watson may as well.
Is Watson ready to captain Australia?
Yeah but the BBL when it was state base was drawing some good crowds, the seats were also cheap, I don;t know what they are like now because I haven’t been too a match yet.
Renegades plunder Thunder as fans stay away from BBL
My biggest problem is they turned it into city based teams. They could have left it state based, I’ve never lived in Melbourne in my life but grew up in country Victoria, cheering for either off the two manufactured Melbourne teams just doesn’t have the same appeal or passion as getting behind the Bushrangers. Sport without passion and history is nothing and this new BBL has neither.

Bit funny too suggest Smith played it safe when they won with a day too spare but your right about the first 2 Tests, his field placings gave his bowlers very little.
The logic of the bully: Smith’s captaincy
If Harris is fit then he is by far out best fast bowler. Can bowl around 150km and can also swing it.,but as I said he needs too stay fit. I’m a bit surprised people seem too have forgotten about him.
Ashes 2013 preview: Part one - the pace attack
All time greats is probably a big call, I’d have him in the Australian 2nd XI off all time though. One off the best modern day batsmen going around but just not in the same class as Ponting, Lara, Tendulkar, Kallis or Sangakarra are/were. Probably around the Dravid, ul-Haq, Chanderpaul class.
Hussey should be considered as one of the greats
You know what your going too get with Siddle, you never know which Johnson will show up though. Siddle is lion-hearted but too suggest not winning the Adelaide test against SA is some how his fault despite his efforts is ajoke, or that despite his figures in the Indian Test, that it was his fault they still scored 499 is also a joke. Maybe you should be looking at the bowlers who offered him little to no support in those matches rather then pointing the finger at him?
He may not swing it as much as some but neither did McGarth or Clark. What Siddle does do though is fight, it’s that fight and drive that makes him dangerous. As a batsman they’ve always got to be switched on to deal with him, his always at the batsmen.
I’d have Harris and Pattinson with Siddle as my fast bowling attack.
Leave Peter Siddle out of the first Ashes Test
