Failing to back up their word… being unbeaten until semi-final is a fair backing.
Far better than coming back home without a win.

Ruthless Pakistan shock England in Trophy

probably the headline should read – recipe for success in Champions Trophy.

Tough to generalize on all ODI’s with sample only restricted to UK grounds.

Is bowling first the new ODI recipe for success?

Of course it will feel really good to see them only as semi finalist after the drubbing that Aussies got.

Ruthless Pakistan shock England in Trophy

I completely disagree with the statement that they struggle badly if its not a batting surface.
Just recently they humiliated Australia when the ball was swinging.

a more correct assessment is that they struggle when its keeping low and slow against a sub continent team.

Ruthless Pakistan shock England in Trophy

Hi Keaton, it seems you are well aware of Virat Kohli the person, could you just highlight 5 non-cricketing personal attributes (of-course with evidence) picked up by you before making such a statement – “Steve Smith is clearly the better cricket and person”.

Smith vs Kohli: Clashing captains and contrasting styles

Well, if you will read my earlier comment – it was an apology. But as i did investigate given the short time – my stance did change hence the comment.

Infact, my last comment was that i will investigate the law on that. Which to my failure, I haven’t done but will do it sometime today. Apologies for the delay.

The stats that matter for the Australians in India

Its not a question of being Wrong, its a call on acceptance in public forum.

And here you go again, you provide me notice of where I was wrong and i will oblige, but hey I was always incorporating your opinion by coming to the site and stating it was wrong.

The stats that matter for the Australians in India

Hello Glenn – I was looking for you here for some days – What happened to your last statistical analysis, expert?

1. Was the 89/99 maintained?
2. What happened to the indian vs Australian pace bowlers averages for the test, which was your primary argument for Aussie pacers being more able to extract wicket?

sometimes, just having an expert term against your name doesnt give you license to argue blindly on stats – there are always other factos than scoreboard which should be considered.

Also if you bring on statistical analysis – as an expert you should have knowledge of stats which clearly you dont since you challenge people on ratios.

The stats that matter for the Australians in India

“At stumps on day 2 Australia were clearly ahead in this Test and in a great position to pull off an incredible series win.”

Where did that come from?? Which match are you talking???
Ind were trailing only 63 runs and had 4 wickets in hand with both jadeja and Saha batting.

Australia squander an elusive series win in India

phew you took whole series to get this.

Australia squander an elusive series win in India

dont read lot into headlines as the editors arent great here — Authors dont really back the headlines.

But you are correct – Australia did manage to show a lot of fight then expected and became favorites after the First Test.

Australia squander an elusive series win in India

Why bring in the BCCI and the dollars?

Australia squander an elusive series win in India

Its not the fielding but the Team selection that has costs the series, catches do go down and they have been few, but there were blinders taken as well, i think it evens out.
They really didn’t try the leggie anywhere – probably Ranchi was the best place, going in with only 4 bowlers everywhere was wrong as well considering there were 4 test matches.

Pat Cummins was able replacement for Starc but was not supported by other bowlers so cannot blame him.

Australia squander an elusive series win in India

One Bad Innings??
Its been a pattern in the whole series.

Australia squander an elusive series win in India

Oh, do you mean in Australia doctor the pitches for financial gains??

I haven’t heard this in a while – Well don’t you know Australia is the most neutral country when comes to pitches and they produce exact replicas of Shield games.

Australia squander an elusive series win in India

No talk regarding the Saint Smith giving expletives and the C word.

Here’s a stat I heard today re the referrals before and after they were caught with (Brain Fade) of Dressing Room Review System.

Before :
Total Reviews – 16 Correct – 7 | 44% success rate

After being caught (Brain Fade):
Total Reviews – 12 Correct – 1 | 8% success rate

Australia squander an elusive series win in India

According to numbers Smith is the ‘Best Test Batsman’ at the moment.
A look at the numbers of all four formats (Including the T20 Leagues) will tell you he is not the ‘Best Batsman’ in the world at the moment.

Australia squander an elusive series win in India

Well he can be aggressive in intimidating the batsman like he did with Rahul and that will definitely bring him luck 😀

India vs Australia: Cricket live scores, blog, 4th Test – Day 3

There was no way the ball was going to spin in the second bounce and come back into the stump.
However, I thought Wade was good coz he was looking for a freak stumping

Lyon inspires Australia at Dharamsala

Talking about greatest Australian wins – Guess who captures the imagination 😀

Beating India would be Australia's greatest cricketing win

Referring to the press conference, Its my opinion that there was a compromise mediated by the boards and hence the evidence was not provided by Kohli – which eventually made Kohli looked like a fool – the evidence will certainly come up in a book once he retires.

In any case it was clear Smith was caught doing it once – it was an attempt to violate the rules.

Kohli and Smith's childish display ruining India tour

Another headline mishap from The Roar.

Kohli and Smith's childish display ruining India tour

Atleast someone remembers Azhar’s inning from Adelaide – it was good.

To be fair the bad blood has been there for quite some time (decades) and there has been far more tension between both the sides in the past. The boards are in discussions with each other and if the situation gets out of control they can deal with it.

This article will surely have lots of Aussie supporters going for Kohli’s head and will equate Smith to a saint.

Kohli and Smith's childish display ruining India tour

well, it’s easy that you blame it on the school
The thing is that you are not open to anybody providing a counter to your views and at least understanding them. You are quick to find faults and pass on misconstrued logical statements

Dharamsala's pacy pitch set to favour Aussies

I think overall test averages are always skewed and cannot be compared when you have different home playing conditions. Just my thought and clearly you think otherwise.
Yes, I agree now – “Dharamsala’s pacy pitch set to favour Aussies”
