Personally think you got it spot on. As always there were a few contentious calls, all highlighted by your good-self and reasoning given.
Both of the comprehensive wins came on the back some key players standing head an shoulders above everyone else.
e.g. The Arg win was a massive team effort with no individual dominating play. Thoroughly deserved but not how you pick players for a best of team

Seven All Blacks, six Boks and just one Wallaby and Puma make our TRC team of the tournament so far

Nice Piece Highlander,
The evidence has been there for years, even during the “golden” period. The Losses all came when basics were below par, 2009 case and point.
But more glaringly the difference against lower ranked teams when after unproductive run it from everywhere and Carter et el went back to basics should have been an education for the ages.

It’s all about the destination for this All Blacks side, even if we're unsure how they got there

Brad Throne, Jason Robinson, Va’aiga Tuigamala, All well in the mix.
Frano Botica didn’t get many AB chances because of Grant Fox but what a step!!
Old timers I never saw play but would have to rate a mention Daly Messanger, George Nepia.
And don’t forget the Welsh, Jonathan Davies, Scott Quinnell.

Is Michael O'Connor the greatest dual international?

Codie Taylor is definitely in a form slump but at only 31 still has a few good years left yet. He looks tired.
Coles will be interesting with the time off for injuries might come back refreshed but at 35 time isn’t on his side.
Aumua is still a way off a finished product yet. But @ 25 and just signed until 2025 has an impressive future.

Rugby News: Brodie back for All Blacks, Boks' wee drama, Bellamy wowed by Marika, Tahs make three signings

Fair point however I was countering the argument that Australia don’t engage in grubby acts.
I have been appalled by some of the AB’s behavior on the field, where did I say they were saints. I was simply offering a counter argument to some of the clearly biased comments about other teams being the worse.
Every team has its knuckleheads, and brain explosions to say anything else simply shows bias.

Yes Just the Boks

Australia as just as bad as anyone for off the ball Rubbish.
Coopers knee to McCaw’s head brushed off this side of the Tasman as nothing
Sekope Kepu repeatedly tried to take Dan Carters head off
Higginbotham head butting McCaw.
Lochie Swinton has been a repeat offender more recently
Dean Mumm never quite got the difference between aggressive rugby and thuggery.
It was a signature of of Cheika’s Wallabies that they would often resort to niggle when getting out muscled.

I mentioned it elsewhere but League players earn their Salary from the marketing of the game. And as such earn a public profile from it. Politicians, Actors, etc are all referred to in the press in the same manner, regardless of where their crime may have occurred.
Just a few headline examples
“NSW Nationals MP Adam Marshall disqualified from driving after being charged with mid-range drink driving”
“Former NSW MP Milton Orkopolous is appealing child sex and drug offences”.
“Qld Labor MP fined over drink-driving”.
Laura McCulloch: Bail set for missing actor found in jail ‘wiped .
Australian actor Vince Colosimo could face jail stint over drug …

Nat you make a very good point, but I do think Footballers do differ in one significant aspect to the rest of society. They are paid a salary that directly comes from the marketability of their sport.
Any damage they do to that “brand” should be reflected in the consequences of their actions.
Ricky Stuart is a completely different case, and actually should be sacked. In no other workplace in Australia (maybe NSW parliament but lets not go there) could you publicly slander a junior employee after multiple previous disciplinary actions and keep your job.

Nice post Hutcho,
This is where the NRL need to invest further to support these young men as well. Education, support and then a big stick.
In particular a compulsory part of the talent identification should include extensive education programs and support networks. Not a 1 day seminar at the start of the season but a program from the age of 16 onwards in investment, social media, branding etc.
Because far to often clubs will identify talent sometimes moving them away from their support network and offer very little in-terms of genuine education and life skills coaching.
The reality is their income is earnt directly from marketing. No branding – no supporters – no 6 figure salary. For the rest of us that is not the case in our careers.

.172% of the population are in Jail at any given time so his “stat” is 100% made up.
48% have bachelor degrees so obviously his is not in stats

He is a critic at heart.
It has been interesting when he has had something to be critical about he has been constructive. When the team was winning he has resorted to faux outrage to try and get clicks.

ANALYSIS: Tactical tweaks that transformed the All Blacks

The Boy (how they identify and had done so since 11) had his Mother’s consent. The Father took them both to court to stop hormone therapy, not surgery. And lost on the recommendation of an Endocrinologist, Phycologist, and Mother as to what is in the best interests of the Child.
“The high court ordered the dad to not stand in the way of the 15-year-old’s hormone therapy and to try and better understand gender dysphoria, the outlet reported. He was also told to stop speaking to the media about the case and warned that his public attempts to undermine his child’s wishes was a form of family violence, according to the article.” He refused to follow the court order so was jailed for contempt of court for 6 months.
So the case is far more nuanced than the over simplifaction you refer to as been butchered.

Robinson spot on: What would Manly seven think if a teammate refused to wear a Pasifika themed jersey?

It’s not common sense if it gets basic facts like a publicly available budgets so massively wrong.
The father had a full and fair challenge via the courts and lost. The court decided the son’s rights over his own body went ahead of the fathers wishes. The jail term was protecting a son from having his father constantly demeaning him via the press.

Look up the definition of woke. It’s not what you think it is.

Robinson spot on: What would Manly seven think if a teammate refused to wear a Pasifika themed jersey?

I love how you think woke is an insult.
Then use progress to try and make your point . Yet fail to see progress doesn’t stop just because some say so. Your clearly not interested in any other point of view. So best we go our separate ways.

Robinson spot on: What would Manly seven think if a teammate refused to wear a Pasifika themed jersey?

The total Californian Health budget is $231b, so I call on your figures completely made up.
The Canadian man was jailed for speaking in the media, contravening a court order. He was free to have his day in court to stop the procedure. The Mothers and the Boys rights were deemed to be ahead of his in a completely sperate court case.
It was his refusal to accept a court order to not speak to the media about his Son that had him serve 6 months in Jail.

Robinson spot on: What would Manly seven think if a teammate refused to wear a Pasifika themed jersey?

Yet you don’t calculate the good Christianity has done outweighs the bad by a country mile, there is good and bad in everything
That 100% depends on personal experience. The indigenous peoples of Canada I am sure feel very differently than you do.
There is a very long list of marginalized / first nations peoples / alternate religions who would feel that religion Christian or otherwise has caused every bit as much harm as good in the world.

Robinson spot on: What would Manly seven think if a teammate refused to wear a Pasifika themed jersey?

Which kind of reinforces my point, all teams play the rules and the ref to the edge.
However the regularity that articles like yours highlight only the AB’s is disappointing.

Coach’s Corner: Global season structure can't come soon enough to reveal true balance of power

The problem of focus so heavily on one team Nick is, many take it as it was one team and the only offences that occurred and changed the outcome of the match.
Which it patently wasn’t or didn’t.
Ireland had a very clever – and for the first 20 minutes effective – Ruck strategy of taking players well beyond the Ruck and holding to reduce their impact on the next phase.
Also had players come around the outside of the Maul and disrupt more than once as well.
Not sure when this became legal.

Coach’s Corner: Global season structure can't come soon enough to reveal true balance of power

23 tests (9 as a sub) So whilst he never owned his spot he has plenty of experience as a player.
His Career coincided with Tane Randle and Rodney So’oialo.

Will Scott Robertson succeed at the elite international level being himself?

YOU started the conversation 😂 😂 😂

'We didn't get it right': NZR apologise for All Blacks' 'tone deaf' IWD post featuring Reece and Smith

How about we all recognize that a society setup by and for white men has left some significant parts behind along the way.
Bury your head in the sand and call it virtue-signaling if you like.
Some of us would like to have and adult discussion as to how we fix these inequalities and it often starts with exposure and education of those who aren’t the disadvantaged. So yes sports teams have a huge part to play in that process.

Even just posting the men’s team thanking the Women in their lives for “allowing” them to play reeks of 1950’s chauvinism.
Particularly when you have an amazing National 15s and 7s womens team
Even worse when Super Rugby Aupiki players are locked in a bubble taking young families with them for the love of the game.

'We didn't get it right': NZR apologise for All Blacks' 'tone deaf' IWD post featuring Reece and Smith

100% agree with you, BUT the case went to court and the judges finding was there was mitigating circumstances. None of us will ever know what these were, but as someone who was a male victim of DV it is important to accept the court has a lot more evidence and Reece may be the exception to the rule.
As for NZR how hard is to find 2 other players without any controversy and shout out to the more successful Women’s team massive own goal you muppets.
