Who is??? He has had probably 10 games at FB in the last 3 years and if he played there every game would likely be considered the best FB in the game. Very strange scenario for the Roosters and very fortunate that it appears (unlike many others) he doesnt care where he plays – he just wants to play. He and Suuali are my favourite players at the moment, despite my Eagle love.

Pomination! Four from England, and just two Kangaroos feature in our team of the RLWC so far

I would love to flop like DCE:

Australia vs Fiji tops and flops: Grant's masterclass, Kangaroos social media fail and Bati pride

100% agree. DCE did his job, Cleary is the better option but that doesn’t make DCE bad. How anyone saw Munster as better than Grant is well beyond my obvious lack of league knowledge….

Australia vs Fiji tops and flops: Grant's masterclass, Kangaroos social media fail and Bati pride

What about every time someone uses the word “outstanding”?

The grand final drinking game is only way to get through Channel Nine's coverage

Reading all the comments just shows Roarers love to argue and debate. For mine – who cares whether AFL is better, bigger or worse? I love Rugby League, happy the finals are upon us, no matter where they are played and at the same time dissapointed that the season is over. I dont care if its Sydeny Centric or National – just want the game to keep entertaining us.

Suburban stadium playoff policy underlines why AFL is ahead of not-so-National Rugby League

Anyone but Souths or Raiders (Ricky doesn’t deserve the success) and Broncos (but they will not be in it).

As Max said “Souths fans get nauseating with pride of the league and glory glory talk”.

All the rest I can handle…..

So for us neutrals, who is the most bearable NRL premiership winner?

If they had said nothing and worn the jersey no one would be any the wiser. Was only news as they said no thanks.

NRL needs more than a 'mental health round' - systemic change required to prevent tragedies

Not wearing the jersey does not make them a bigot, means they chose not to promote it. Huge difference.

NRL needs more than a 'mental health round' - systemic change required to prevent tragedies

And there is a big dig at the 7. Whether you agree with their issue or not, the courage it took for them to stand and be smashed for it is huge. The pressure is now on them forever. If they wear the next jersey it will be scrutinized for rights and wrongs and always thrown back at them.

They may be able to handle it now, but like Paul Green and many others that 1 decision may eventually get the better of them.

And again Gus Gould shows he is the biggest liar in the game….

Why Ciraldo 'five-year plan' is a massive risk for desperate Dogs

John, can only speak for myself and I am not an overly competitive person like the best sports people must be but…. if I am Joey Manu, already have a premiership, for an extra 3 or 400 thousand per year…. I am gooone.

Every NRL club’s players who will be targeted in the November free-for-all (Part 2)

I was a former fan of Vossy but he has become fascinated with controversy…. the best for me on TV is now Brenton Speed. Calls the players and the game like the old Frank Hyde.

Too much unnecessary pressure: Why NRL must change Sunday 4pm kick-off time

The Bluey they are talking about is a Kids Cartoon Show….

That's not a try, that's a lead runner contacting the outside shoulder

It appears no one regulates themselves on ratings. Every player starts with a 6, do your job, get 6. Then subject to what you do or dont do, you increase or reduce the number. Makes a level field for all for both sides. So Par is 17 x 6 = 102 points…

Not saying my ratings are perfect but it starts level and then depends on what you see…. ie Cooks service from DH was not as good and direct as it should be – thats a point. You can work the rest out…

Blues player ratings: Cleary almost perfect but Panthers teammate is 3/10 after 'worst game'

Not having a go at AJ at all but, lets be fair even with that record, his stats etc, there are numerous actual wingers you would / could pick before his name gets a mention as your first choice winger (in no particular order): Josh Ado-Carr, Brian To’o, Daniel Tupou, Val Holmes, Selwyn Cobbo, Jordan Rapana, Rueben Garrick are mine. But you could argue Fedlt, C Thompson, Xav Coates, Dom Young, Suaali, Taylan May, Hamiso, Cotric, Sivo, Nofoaluma, Ravalawa and C Oates…. Not saying they are better, but who would you pick first in your own line up…. Despite his plethora of tries, AJ is well down the list for me. But well done to him.

Alex Johnston: the try scoring top gun nearly punted by Bennett and his Bunnies’ bean counters

Agreed. Croker not a problem at all. His service is good, defence better than satisfactory and his option running this year has improved greatly. But he ain’t Harry Grant….

My Queensland team for Origin 1

I wish Harry Grant was at Manly… 😛

My Queensland team for Origin 1

Didn’t have the longevity of the others but Craig Innes would be handy inclusion. He was dynamite!

My best New Zealand rugby league team of the last 50 years ... with a twist!

Someone doctored the headline…..

Why the Broncos must extend Payne Haas' contract

Agree, the only one that makes some sense

The six changes the NRL must implement

The reason that occurs in busines is that future strategies, company secrets etc would be at risk to competitors. That is simply not the case in league.

MICHAEL HAGAN: Magic Round swap meet, end-of-year player auction - how NRL can solve transfer mess

Every person in the world should be able to secure their short term future, including NRL players. If I am a business (they are) and my ONLY contract is coming to an end, I have the right and need to ensure I have my next contract sorted ASAP. END. OF. STORY. If this was a corporation it would not even be an issue and it should not be for NRL players.

I think the biggest thing that is forgotten is that one of the reasons these people are NRL players is that they are super competitive. That is what drives them to be so good. So whether their future is sorted with teh same club or a different club, they cross that white line on the weekend and do their utmost to win evry game, every tackle, every metre.

For me – sign when you can, sort out your future and whatever guernsey you are in this week or year doesn’t matter. You are a professional sports person with obvious talent and an ultimate desire to be the best you can be… deliver that and there is no issue regarding loyalty or ‘fan’ confusion. Matt Burton was and is a prime example.

MICHAEL HAGAN: Magic Round swap meet, end-of-year player auction - how NRL can solve transfer mess

Agree with this however…. what needs to be stated is that he is still a pretty good fullback, but i would definitely pick 3 perhaps 4 in front of him. Based on the number of involvements, he is likely the most impactful player in the game. On top of that he comes across as arrogant, maybe i would be too if i was that good…

Latrell continues to be hung out to dry by South Sydney

He did win…..

Forceful contact: How many weeks would Will Smith get at the NRL judiciary?

I dont think Manly went MIA…. they were defended out of the contest. Panthers were there almost before the ball and stopped any chance of a backline play all night. No gripes, no complaints.

Don’t freak out, it’s only one game: NRL Round 1 talking points
