I must admit that I do agree that hitting the ERU where its hurts, being of course their hip pockets, is the way to go but I had already purchased tickets when they were first made available to Force members in the hope that there would be quite a few Force players in the squad. This was also prior to the announcement. So now that I have the tickets I may as well attend and take the opportunity to make a stand.
One topic I didn’t touch on was the issue of Pay TV and yes I’m a foxtel subscriber but I am well on my way to dropping it, or at the very least the sporting package. Rugby needs to be provided on free-to-air so all of the rugby public can enjoy and then we may entice others to start supporting the sport.
