Passionate Footballer, who also loves watching cricket. Favorite Club would be Torino in the Serie A followed by Newcastle United, Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid.

Anyone who has a genuine passion for the club, not an owner who is about to offer Carver the full-time job (Carver’s hinted at it in press-conferences) despite his inability to win a football match.

An owner who doesn’t sell one of your key players (Santon), when the club is already short in defensive reinforcements, basically an owner who has a vested interest in the football team and not an owner looking to squeeze every last drop out of a club which is now slowly dying.

The battle for the Toon has just begun

Pardew has always showed he’d a capable manager as long as you keep him for one season, then his tactics come undone.

Not allowed to, New Zealand isn’t part of the AFC.

New Zealand sides enter the Oceanic Championship, but Phoenix is in an Asian League, they can’t get continental football anywhere.

It’s more an outlet for talented kiwis to be exposed to a higher level of football I believe.

Would Aussies resent it if Wellington Phoenix won the A-League?

Thanks for the updates 🙂

Was wondering if McGowan would get in, alas

On the subject of Ikonomidis another guy we need to get in soon is Panos Armenakas

Postecoglou names Socceroos squad for international friendlies

What does he have to give back to us? Almost every significant moment in Socceroo history since Bresc started playing, involves him in some way shape or form.

This idea that professionals have to give back to the country they represented is ridiculous, he’s given everything for us for 15 years (?) which is more than enough

Marco Bresciano should steer clear of the A-League

Of course not many clubs in the ACL are ever in danger of being relegated, if they were there’d be a ridiculous bit of circumstance about it but it’s a good point regardless.

And in regards to that any club would then tank the ACL and do exactly what Wanderers did last night, keep their players at home so they could ensure they have a full squad for the relegation battle. Wanderers focusing all their energy into the AACL would have meant playing a full squad and then resting all their guys this weekend, this logic needs to be reversed because Popovic clearly put A-League>ACL with the line-up

Has Popovic finally found a solution for the Wanderers?

Yeah, he was incredible, that goal against Roar in the semi-final was amazing.

Has Popovic finally found a solution for the Wanderers?

Yeah, Parma is really going through some definite struggles at the moment, a real shame as I’ve always liked them as a club.

The slight reduction in quality in the Serie A is really noticeable through their International results and while Italy have never had the most attractive game, it’s a shame seeing their really talented players fail to find form on the world stage.

The rise, fall and rise of Torino FC

I would Place Ono as #2 tbh, out of Del Piero, Heskey and Himself, Ono came and engineered a team which had just been created to a Minor Premiership and 2 successive finals, before sealing our Path through the ACL in one of his final games, even with the ACL win you can see that his overall touch and quality is being heavily missed.

Broich is far and away the #1 though.

Nice article 🙂

Covic must be Postecoglou's ace for the Socceroos

That was one hell of a ride, credit to the lads for being able to grind it out and massive props to Covic who pulled off some incredible stops.

Wow, this feeling is incredible atm, never thought an Australian team would win for at least another 10 years.

Interesting Toon Lineup, and a solid half to boot from us. However why Pardew insists on Sissoko being an RM is baffling.
