I can beat that. I once left Beijing in January at -9 and landed in Sydney about 12 hrs later at plus 40 degree heatwave! Almost threw the puffer in the bin when I landed.

Problem is they get fast tracked into the ‘professional’ set up straight from school so they miss out on trade school in Colts and grade. Also miss out on the booze ups so I guess it works out even ????

Perhaps if your world only extends out to Penriff or your idea of a good day out is heading off to the TAB. Others might want to see a bit of the wider world, perhaps get some culture. Joey probably considers it a working holiday. Can’t blame him for that.

Hopefully I’m proven wrong but I can’t say I agree with this decision. Senirusi Seruvakula is a top coach with an amazing track record coaching Fijian teams.
Fijian teams are also most successful when coached by Fijians.

I used to watch Kurtley play for Joeys. Very exciting. Unfortunately never lived up to the promise in the senior ranks which is fine.
My comment was related to the state of Australian rugby and his commitment. You can’t tell me (despite his 95 tests) that he’s an Ella or a Lewis, or a Horan or a Burke. And judging by the comments here nobody really knows what his best position is.

Exactly! I’ve been saying it for years. No place in a professional contact sport for small guys.
Alternatively give the 5/8 a different coloured jersey or a red vest and change the rules so that big guys or any guys can’t hit them too hard. I think it’s called ‘roughing the passer’ in the NFL.
