That’s because the HS is owned by news limited. Remember, the same people that own foxtel, who have no interest in rugby?

Another useless decision by RA to not have any exposure to everyday people!

The Wrap: Rugby Australia gaslights Rebels staff and why ‘I Can’t Go For That’

Good to see some home grown Melbourne talent coming through.

The five Aussie young guns who should be celebrated - and the one who is ready for the Wallabies

How’s the Waratahs balance sheet looking? Anyone seen it?

The Wrap: Rebels young gun rockets out of Wallabies contention, and why Samipeni Finau's 'brutal' hit on Edmed was fair game

It’s great to have you reporting on this Geoff. Everything else you read on this matter comes from Rugby Australia and NSW media who aren’t keen on covering this story.

It’s great to have your balanced reporting on this Geoff. Everything else you read on this matter comes from Rugby Australia and NSW media which are looking the other way.

This is the best comment I have read on this matter.

UPDATE: RA say they were blindsided over Rebels' finances, reject private consortium claim as administrator backs club's survival

Maybe you are right. I feel as though everyone is against the rebels atm.

Go Rebels!

'Something's not working': Tahs' Good Friday turns into a nightmare as Rebels recruit Daugunu seals upset win

Yep, and they also had a few wallabies missing, so should have won by more? Or maybjust give the credit for winning,

All they can do is their best, and they did that, and won.

Why do you want to tear them down

'Something's not working': Tahs' Good Friday turns into a nightmare as Rebels recruit Daugunu seals upset win

What a great win against the odds by the rebels. Good to see humility exists with the Waratahs supporters.

Would be also good to have neutral commentators from Stan too.

Carter Gordon’s try saving tackle? All the commentators could mention was how the tags stuffed that up, no mention of the amazing effort by Carter.

Rebels are doing something right.

No, bankrupt rebels are fighting to stay alive. Not rolling over like the Waratahs whose debt has been hidden by RA.

Why wouldn’t you fight for your life?

Rebels set to sue Rugby Australia as civil war erupts, Rugby Victoria President barred from summit

Hmm, compared to 142 years of the Waratahs I would consider the Rebels new.

I bet the AFL are kicking themselves when they decided to expand the Victorian Football League and grow it nationally. Imagine if they had of cut the Sydney Swans after 13 years in 1995? Have you heard of Errol Goulding? Look him up, would he be playing afl if there was no investment in the game?

As Geoff has pointed out, the growth of the game takes time and we are starting to see some fruit, this will be lost if the Rebels are cut.

The Wrap: Code Orange as looming Rebels decision places rugby pathways at risk

That’s a typical closed mindset and no room for growth. It’s also reflective of rugby in Australia and why other codes have flourished. There is a long and sad history of rugby people sticking their nose up at anything new that will grow the game.

The Wrap: Code Orange as looming Rebels decision places rugby pathways at risk

Don’t we all want a professional presence in Melbourne Geoff!
I just can’t get over the short sightedness of rugby people and their inability to grow the game of Rugby in a City that in 10 years will have the largest population in Australia. As you point out, the AFL are not blind to the level of investment that is required to growth the game in Sydney and the Gold Coast and are prepared for the fight.

The Wrap: Unity, integrity and the other casualties of shameful leaks aimed at the Rebels

You’re probably right, but at the end of the day, the players need connection to the coach. In any sport, the players could be the most skilled or gifted but if they dont have connection with the coach, they won’t win, as simple as that.

Of course, the assistants can be younger, but they will come and go (as they have with the Wallabies) over the next 6-8 years. The Wallabies need (amongst other things) a stable program and continuity with the head coach to develop a sustainable culture and winning program.

COMMENT: Rugby Australia given wake-up call by All Blacks ... AGAIN

I agree Jake White is probably the best candidate for the role now, but as they say its a 6-8 year appointment (hopefully!) and I wonder whether or not a younger coach might connect better with the players?

Yes!!!!!
I’m loving Big Ange instead!!!!

Exclusive: Path clear for McKellar to return as Wallabies coach despite Leicester job, Cheika's update on future

Can we say “You’re traitor Eddie” now?

REPORT: Eddie Jones to quit Wallabies and join Japan as head coach

“Hooking Gordon 50 minutes into the Fiji fiasco was as public an admission of error as you’ll ever see from Jones.”

I feel for Gordon, I hope now he is not ruined from the experience.

WALLABIES REPORT CARD: 'F--k mate, what didn't go wrong?'- Few pass marks and an F for Eddie in Pool C disaster

Love the quote!

I also love this one “He trusted in youth, then failed to back some of them when it really mattered.”

Why is Carter Gordon, not starting?

'If you have any poo, fling it now': One final indignity as Eddie's absolute mess of a World Cup campaign nears the end

I no thought Carter Gordon needs “time I the saddle”?

'Fall guy': Eddie doubles down on future, makes three changes as Wallabies sweat on RWC miracle

“How do you scoot the devil in the back?”

The Wrap: Is Eddie Jones playing the role of Keyser Soze or Frank Drebin?

It’s pretty clear there are too many New Zealand teams in the competition and there is a gap in skill and quality….

Hamish’s burner account?

The Wrap: Is 'enigma' fullback the Wright move for Wallabies, SR not burning but smouldering

Are readers entitled to anything other than to make our own opinion?

Thanks again Geoff. I agree the loss of Phillip and Hosea is a big blow. Josh canham coming along nicely as well but note it’s two steps back.
