Move over Fergie, there's a new contender for worst-ever anthem rendition
In 2018, former Black Eyed Peas band member Stacy ‘Fergie’ Ferguson had caused a stir on social media after she performed her version of the United States national anthem for the NBA All-Star game of that year.
It was a slow, jazzy rendition with vocals of a different kind- the likes of which we didn’t think we would ever hear again. However, before this year’s game that paid special tribute to late Lakers and NBA legend Kobe Bryant, ten-time Grammy winner Chaka Khan had the honour of belting out ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’- and certainly took belting out to a new level, with Khan’s version receiving many mixed reviews on Youtube. Have you heard worse than this?
