American's savage flying knee stuns opponent for the fastest KO in UFC history

Blink and you’ll miss it!

Jorge Masvidal has claimed his place in UFC history, with the fastest-ever finish in the competition at UFC 239 in Las Vegas.

The American needed just five seconds to end his bout with Ben Askren, unleashing a brutal flying knee right from the get-go that completely stunned his opponent.

Previously, the record for the fastest finish had been held by Duane Ludwig who had taken six seconds to down Jonathan Goulet in 2006.

For Masvidal, the victory is the 34th of his time in mixed martial arts.

Meanwhile, the defeat is the first Askren has suffered in his professional career, and it’s difficult to imagine a more brutal way for it to have come.
