Former UFC fighter cops brutal face-plant KO on ONE debut
As far as debuts go, this was short but certainly not sweet for Sage Northcutt.
The former UFC fighter made a disappointing start in the ONE Championship after he was brought undone by 37-year-old Brazilian Cosmo Alexandre in just 29 seconds.
A right punch from Alexandre to the jaw of Northcutt had the 23-year-old American heading south and immediately out.
Northcutt had entered the bout having pulled off victories in his last three fights in the UFC before switching to the ONE Championship.
For Alexandre, it’s a reminder that he still has what it takes, having last fought a professional MMA bout in September 2016.
