UFC Milwaukee: The thrilling final moments of Kevin Lee vs Al Iaquinta 2
Al Iaquinta has defeated Kevin Lee via unanimous decision in the main event of UFC Milwaukee.
31-year-old Iaquinta was able to storm home off the back of a dominant final two rounds against his younger opponent, landing a series of strikes in the final minute to ensure victory.
Lee initially fumed at the judges’ decision (48-47, 48-47, 49-46), saying immediately after the lightweight bout that he was “speechless”.
“I thought I put up a good fight,” Lee said. “I thought I had the first three rounds for sure.”
However when the crowd began to boo, Lee grabbed the microphone and said he would accept the call.
“Al gave me a great fight.
“If the judges say he won this one, I can’t do nothing but take my hat off to him.”
The bout marks the second time Lee has been defeated by Iaquinta, after their first fight in 2014.
