WARNING GRAPHIC: Sickening cut ends UFC Uruguay fight
Rogerio Bontorin scored his first TKO victory in the UFC in bizarre circumstances in Uruguay.
Just minutes into the 27-year-old’s bout with Raulian Paiva, the contest had to be stopped for a moment after a large cut had opened up under Bontorin’s eye.
However, when the fight resumed it wouldn’t last much longer, with this time a brutal Bontorin knee opening up a nasty cut on Paiva’s face which doctors were quick to rule as too big to allow the fight to continue.
The fight marked Bontorin’s second in the UFC and saw the Brazilian pick up his 16th win from 17 professional MMA contests.
