Namibia and Ireland will meet in a winner takes all clash as the Group Stages of the T20 World Cup 2021 come to a climax. Join The Roar for live scores from 9:00pm (AEDT).

We’re less than a week into the World Cup and the Super 12s haven’t even begun yet but we’ve had some wonderful matches with dominant displays and upsets that will go down in the history books.

Now we’re at the crunch stage of the Group Stages and these two teams have it all to play for. If they win this match then they qualify, if they lose then it could be all over.

With Sri Lanka already assured of qualification, there is one spot left from Group A. Ireland will look to three of their bowlers to repeat their efforts from the first two games. Curtis Campher, Mark Adair and Josh Little have all been performing well but at different times. If they can deliver good performances at the same time then Namibia’s batsmen could really struggle.

The Namibian batsmen showed against the Netherlands that they can dominate if they are in the mood. Gerhard Erasmus, David Wiese and JJ Smit all performed well in the team’s first-ever World Cup win and the Irish will have taken note of Wiese’s power. The middle-order batsmen scored 66 from just 44 balls including nine boundaries.

This is exactly what World Cups are all about – tense, knock-out matches where second place means nothing.
