The second season of the Gfinity Elite Series comes to a close, with the Street Fighter V grand final sure to be a befittingly fiery affair.

It’s Australian esports’ traditional rivals in Melbourne Order and the Sydney Chiefs doing battle, in a clash that will be just as notable for what happens in the game as what happens on the stage.

For Order, this is their chance to prove once and for all they’re Australia’s premier esports organisation.

After a crushing 3-1 victory in yesterday’s CS:GO grand final, a win here will mean they’ve taken out five of the six Gfinity Elite Series championships this year.

With another dominant regular season in the books, it’s time for the notoriously lippy ROF to once again walk the walk.

The Chiefs, on the other hand, are fighting for legitimacy.

While they’ve long been viewed as Australia’s most notable esports club, the fact is they have only one Elite Series title so far to show for that prestige.

This is an organisation built for more than just good regular seasons and strong showings. They want to win titles.
