'I have never seen that': Former Masters champion's blooper of the year
It’s something you’d rarely see at your local club, let alone from a professional.
Zach Johnson, who has won two majors over his career including the 2007 Masters, produced one of the great bloopers in the tournament’s 2019 edition.
The American was warming up on the 13th hole when his practice shot came far closer to the ball than intended, and saw the ball ricochet and rest just a few feet away.
An awkward moment followed, yet it was decided that as Johnson did not intend to strike the ball when he did, the shot would not count.
He would then manage to birdie the hole – even having the nerve to try another practice swing beforehand.
Johnson would finish the tournament’s second day at three over par.
