Olympics triathlon forced to restart for a truly farcical reason
A chaotic start to Day 3 of the Olympic Games has seen the men’s triathlon forced to restart.
Half the 56-man field had their path off the starting pontoon blocked by a boat – but the other half got more than 200m into the 1.5km swim before red-faced officials could intervene.
The race would start normally five minutes later – but the situation has quickly been slammed by fans.
