The unstoppable force of the Melbourne Storm face another serious contender in the Manly Sea Eagles in a match that could well seal up the minor premiership. Tune into this second match of a Suncorp Stadium double-header with live scores on The Roar from 7:35pm (AEST).

The Panthers may have been undermanned, but the Storm couldn’t have been more impressive in a 37-10 drubbing in the 2020 grand final rematch. The reigning champs have had their own injury issues throughout this season, but have not been fazed in the least, and now the only question is how long can they extend their current 16-match winning streak.

The Storm will continue to ease Ryan Papenhuyzen back into first-grade off the bench, while he’ll be joined there by another star in Harry Grant. A head knock to Kenny Bromwich and injury issues for Jahrome Hughes and Tom Eisenhuth are just about all Craig Bellamy has to deal with at the moment.

The Eels’ recent struggle means fourth spot is still alive for Manly, but they’ll probably have to take down the Storm to stay in the hunt. The Sea Eagles were impressive in a 40-22 win over the Sharks, but will want to be tighter in defence against a side with the firepower of the Storm.

Des Hasler has the luxury of fielding an unchanged line-up as their casualty ward empties out, though he’ll have to decide whom of Toafofoa Sipley and Taniela Paseka starts as prop.
