The Wests Tigers must find a way to take down a near full-strength Manly Sea Eagles outfit to keep their slim finals hopes alive. Tune into Saturday evening action here on The Roar with live scores from 5:30pm (AEST).
Despite missing a swathe of stars, including fullback Tom Trbojevic and captain Daly Cherry-Evans, Manly were too good for the Dragons last week. After starting the season slowly, Des Hasler’s team are well and truly entrenched in the top eight, and have their sights set on forcing into the top four in the final rounds.
Tommy Turbo and DCE are both back for the first time since before Origin 3; while lock Jake Trbojevic returns from a long-term layoff with a hip injury. It means the Sea Eagles are as close to full strength as they could possibly be at this late point in the season.
The Tigers burst away from the Broncos late for a much-needed 42-24 win last week, but concerns remain over Michael Maguire’s side. They leaked 24 points to one of the NRL’s weakest sides, and have conceded a whopping 168 points in their last four matches.
However, Maguire has the luxury of naming an unchanged starting 17 for this match, though Moses Mbye (ankle) and Alex Twal (concussion) remain in doubt.
