Round 20 of the NRL concludes on Sunday with the Parramatta Eels taking on the Gold Coast Titans at CommBank Stadium. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 6.15pm AEST.

State of Origin is over and the downhill run into the semi finals has begun. For the Titans, semi final football really starts now. They can ill afford to fall 2 wins plus a poor for and against outside of the 8.

After winning 5 straight, the Eels came crashing back to earth with a 46-10 loss to the Warriors last weekend. Parramatta did have some excuses however with Mitchell Moses, Clint Gutherson and Reagam Campbell-Gillard all missing due to Origin duty.

The Eels are built off one of the best front row combinations in the competition. If they can establish dominance in the middle, Moses can control territory through his kicking game and an exciting Parramatta backline can kick into gear.

Clint Gutherson, Reagan Campbell-Gillard and Mitchell Moses have all been named to play following Origin. Ryan Matterson moves back to the bench and Ofahiki Ogden drops out of the 17. Shaun Lane has been named to start.

The Titans let a chance slip last weekend, losing 23-21 in golden point to the Dolphins. They were missing Tino Fa’asuamaleaui, David Fifita, Moeaki Fotuaika and AJ Brimson, but had their chances to win a game that would have had them sitting on the edge of the 8.

The Titans are, on paper at least, a strong side. A pack brimming with Origin talent, experienced halves and a dangerous backline. Defence has been their issue, leaking second half points.

Maroons forwards Tino Fa’asuamaleaui, Moeaki Fotuaika, David Fifita and AJ Brimson have been named to back up from Origin III. Jayden Campbell gets a spot on the bench. Jaimin Jolliffe and Joe Stimson will miss the game through injury and concussion respectively.

Prediction

It is at this time of year that some teams make their move and others start their decline. Unfortunately, for the Titans, their decline may have already started.

The Eels, at home, should be too strong. Eels by 14
