Round 4 of the NRL premiership concludes with the Parramatta Eels hosting the Wests Tigers at CommBank Stadium. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 4:00pm (AEDT).
Last weekend, Parramatta came from behind to beat the previously undefeated Manly, while the Tigers claimed their first victory of the season with an impressive 32-6 trouncing of in-form Cronulla at Leichhardt Oval. If last weekend’s form means anything, we could be in for an interesting game.
While Parramatta start favourites, their stocks are diminished by the absence of Mitch Moses, who has fractured his foot and is out for two months. Blaize Talagi, who impressed at centre against Manly, will wear the 6 jumper in just his second NRL game, with Dylan Brown to deputise for Moses at half.
Morgan Harper shifts in from the wing to cover centre with Maika Sivo returning from a suspension picked up in the trials. Bryce Cartwright has been named though he has been under an injury cloud following a knock to the ribs.
The Tigers maintain largely the same team that saw them thrash Cronulla, with only Asu Kepaoa coming in to take the place of Alex Twal (concussion).
While the Tigers will give a good account of themselves against a Parramatta team denuded of Mitch Moses, the Eels will still be too polished. Eels by 10.
