The South Sydney Rabbitohs will be out to reverse their formline ahead of the finals when they host the Wests Tigers in the last round of the season. Join The Roar for live scores and coverage from 7:50pm (AEST).

South Sydney have been pretty poor in the last month. While they have had a great season, the questions are starting to gather around the club heading into the finals.

They have looked fatigued and nowhere near their best for the last two weeks, with back-to-back losses against the Broncos and out-of-contention Raiders.

Maybe the biggest problem for Souths is that the signs of a fatiguing forward pack have been evident for a month and are now starting to bite them on the scoreboard.

The Rabbitohs did have an excuse against Brisbane with most of their outside backs out of action, but they were all back as of last week, putting the pressure on the club to get back to their best in a hurry.

While all hope of a minor premiership appears gone, a win here would still give them a shot at finishing in the top two and hosting a final next week.

If they can’t beat the Tigers, things won’t be looking all that great off three back-to-back losses, but the pattern and pace of this game may depend on which Tigers team turns up.

They have lost some crucial games at times this year to put them out of finals contention, but they can still aim to beat the Bunnies and finish the season with some respect.

A loss two weeks ago to the Dragons was the straw that broke the camel’s back, but in truth, they have simply been hanging on all year with their defence the only part of their game at a top-eight standard.

Without a fully functioning attack, Ivan Cleary’s side have been inconsistent and with the aging duo of Benji Marshall and Robie Farah leading the way in terms of creativity, it’s not difficult to see why there have been issues.

Prediction
The Rabbitohs will be out to reverse their formline and, given the Tigers have nothing to play for, should do so. But I’m not sure it will be all that convincing which will leave plenty of questions about where exactly they are standing ahead of the finals.
