The Sydney Roosters are chasing their fourth win of the season, but face a dangerous opponent in the Cronulla Sharks. Stay up to date with their NRL clash with live scores on The Roar from 7:35pm (AEST).
Life under prodigal young halfback Sam Walker began with a bang last week, as the Roosters overcame an early challenge from the Warriors to run out 32-12 winners. There will still be huge question marks over whether the Chooks can match it with the best in Luke Keary’s absence, but they’ve got a big opportunity to put some of those fears to rest tonight.
Cronulla dusted themselves off nicely from their bruising loss to Parramatta by piling the pain on North Queensland in a 48-10 rout last Saturday. The Sharks have looked sharp in all but one of their matches so far this season and will be quietly confident they can pounce against a Roosters side missing some big names.
The Roosters were too good in last year’s meeting between these sides, prevailing 34-18 at the SCG. Amazingly, it was the first time these sides have ever met at the venue. This will be Cronulla’s second game at the ground since 1987.
