The Roosters may enter this match on a three-game winning streak, but it’s been a very tough month. After going down to the Raiders narrowly in Round 10, the three subsequent wins have been against the Warriors, Titans and Dragons and have all come by under two converted tries. The Tricolours will be hoping for a lift.
The Storm, on the other hand, are absolutely flying. They’ve won their last seven matches in a row and have barely been troubled – scoring four more than 40 points in four of those victories including last week’s 41-10 demolition of the Bulldogs. They’re just one point off first place and have the best for-and-against in the NRL.
Last time these sides met was an all-time classic in Brisbane back in Round 8, with Melbourne winning 27-25. Before that, the Roosters had won three of the four previous meetings. This will be Melbourne’s second ever visit to the SCG – the first being last year’s grand final loss.
