'What planet are we on?': Gus Gould goes berserk over penalty try
North Queensland Cowboys coach Paul Green slammed the referees following his side’s golden point loss to the Wests Tigers.
And the Cowboys boss found an ally in the Nine Network commentator Phil “Gus” Gould at least when it came to the contentious penalty try awarded to the Tigers.
Michael Chee-Kam was deemed to have been certain to score had it not been for a high tackle from Jordan Kahu.
An unimpressed Gould blasted the decision and questioned whether the incident itself was even worthy of a penalty.
The 26-27 loss is the Cowboys’ eighth defeat of the season.
