The ACT Brumbies look to continue their recent dominance over the NSW Waratahs on Saturday night in Canberra. Join The Roar for live scores and rolling coverage from 7:30pm (AEDT).

This fixture used to be one of the first circled when the draw came out, but the Brumbies dominance after winning 10 matches in a row stretching back to 2018 has seen it take a back seat compared to their rivalry against the Reds in recent years.

After resting a host of players against the Crusaders under the agreement with Rugby Australia, Brumbies coach Stephen Larkham has called upon the 5 Wallabies that were rested in last week’s loss including James Slipper, Rob Valetini, Pete Samu, Nic White and Tom Wright. Len Ikitau is also back and has added motivation after welcoming his first child into the world during the week.

The Waratahs weren’t disgraced in their loss to the Chiefs but a huge defensive workload in the first half eventually caught up with them and the 8-day turnaround might work in their favour for this match that they go into as underdogs.

There are number of matchups across the park that Eddie Jones might be keeping an eye on in person before naming his first Wallabies squad for an upcoming April training squad.

The Brumbies lock pairing of Nick Frost and Cadeyrn Neville up against Jed Holloway and Ned Hanigan will be a contrast in styles, with the Brumbies pair keen to nullify any maul threat. Compared to their counterparts, Holloway and Hanigan will need to roll up their sleeves to gain some ascendency.

Newly re-signed Waratahs scrum half Jake Gordon will be looking to cap off a big week for himself as he teams with Ben Donaldson to try get on top of Nic White and Noah Lolesio as they try to claim just their second win of the season, and their first since round 2 against the Fijian Drua.
