The Crusaders head north to tackle the Chiefs in a historic match in Fiji in this all-Kiwi conference battle. Join The Roar from 5:35pm (AEST) as we follow all the action in Suva.

The Crusaders are raceway leaders of the New Zealand table with 10 wins, three draws and just one loss. They are sitting pretty on 53 points, 13 ahead of the second-placed Hurricanes, and on track to defend their Super Rugby title.

But the Chiefs have had a disappointing season in comparison with only five victories from 14 matches. They are second bottom in the Kiwi sector, with only the lowly Blues a point behind them.

The Crusaders have a great record historically over their north island neighbours, regardless of venue. This match in Fiji is a home match for the Chiefs, where the two clubs have played twice before.

Each have won once in Suva. The Crusaders won the most recent match and that was in 2017.

The defending champions have Kieran Read and Ben Funnell back available for selection. All Blacks skipper Read will start at number 8 while Funnell is on the bench.

Prediction
This might be an away game for both teams but the Crusaders have too much firepower, too much class and are in far better form than their North Island cousins. The Chiefs have some stars to be wary of, like Brodie Retallick, but the Crusaders remain the team to beat in the competition and are an incredibly well-balanced outfit.

The Crusaders to win by 12 points.
