The in-form Jaguares will be out to keep their winning streak going in Round 12 of Super Rugby as they take on the inconsistent Stormers in what is yet another crucial South African conference contest. Join The Roar for live scores from 5:40am (AEDT).

Finals chances for the Jaguares were looking all but in smoke a couple of weeks ago, but they have now picked up three wins on the hop and look to be going on a run similar to how they finished 2018 and qualified for the top eight.

They have won three matches on the hop, with the Argentinian outfit going past the Bulls, Sharks and Brumbies.

Their style of play is an inconsistent one fraught with danger though, given so much of their attack comes off the counter. That puts a heap of pressure on their strong forward pack to defend well across the 80 minutes and cause a mountain of mistakes.

That was certainly the case against the Brumbies last week, and they will be hoping to get something similar for them this week against a Stormers team who have been good one week and poor the next, as has been the case right through the South African conference this year.

The Stormers, who sit equal on points with the Jaguares, making this yet another must-win game for points towards making the finals, beat the Bulls last weekend and the Rebels three weeks ago, but have had some difficult losses in between to the Stormers and Reds.

When the Stormers have lost this year, they have been their own worst enemy most of the time, with errors and penalties hurting them. Still, even a solid performance on that foot will still require a lot out of their forwards to match it with the Argentinian outfit on the road.

Prediction
The Jaguares have finally found form in the last couple of weeks, and being at home again, they should be able to keep that run going against the still inconsistent Stormers.
