Adelaide United will be looking to maintain their momentum in these early round of the 2018-19 A-League season against fellow in-form opponent Perth Glory, at Coopers Stadium. Join The Roar for live scores and coverage from 5:00pm (AEDT).

This is the match of the round, with the high-flying Perth Glory travelling to the home of the other in-form team in South Australia.

Both sides have started the new A-League season with enthusiasm, energy, desire, and application.

Adelaide are playing some compelling football, and with some silverware already in the cupboard, they will be hoping to continue that run with a strong Round 4 showing.

The form of Craig Goodwin has taken the world by storm, literally, the Adelaide strike man finding himself picked in the EA Sports FIFA 19 team of the week, and along with a call up to the Socceroos train-on squad, his confidence should be at an all-time high, just in time for this important clash.

What works in Adelaide’s favour is that they are far from a one-man band, and with a troupe of players in the capable hands of Marco Kurz, the signs are promising for a genuine tilt at the title.

However, almost everything that you can say about Adelaide, you can say in equal parts about Perth at the moment.

Perth’s star player Andy Keogh is in a nice patch of form, and the Glory are playing the type of disciplined and controlled football you would expect from a Tony Popovic coached side.

Sitting in the top 2 after three rounds, Poppa will be reminding his charges that now is exactly the time where his team must show the competition that they are the real deal, because now they are expected to deliver, and anything less than a strong performance here could do damage to the credibility built up in the first three rounds.

After Sydney’s minor slip up last night, top spot is on offer to the westerners.

It is a can’t miss match up tonight.

Prediction
The game of the round should deliver attacking football and goals, but ultimately, the home field advantage and extra travel should beat the Glory.

The Reds should be just a touch too strong at home, but it’s set to be a great game nevertheless.

Adelaide United 2 – Perth Glory 1.
