The Socceroos will look to maintain their perfect World Cup qualifying start as they take on Vietnam in Hanoi. Join The Roar for live scores and a blog from 10pm (AEST).

After their solid win in the opening match of this qualifying campaign, Socceroos coach Graham Arnold has made it clear that he has no intention on rotating his squad despite the short five day turnaround.

“It’s a World Cup qualifier and I’ve got to put my best team out there that I feel that is ready to go on to the pitch and perform at its best.”

This means he’s keen to give striker Martin Boyle plenty of time to prove his fitness after the goal scorer from the last game had to come off in the second half.

Star playmaker Aaron Mooy will be keen to continue his return to full time international duty. Having not played much football in a few months, Mooy came off the bench last week against China and impressed with the way he controlled the game in the final stages.

For the Vietnamese side this is going to be a tough night. They lost their first match in the group 1-3 and, while they will be playing at home, they will have to do so without a crowd behind them as Vietnam keeps sporting events closed.

Coach Park Hang-seo was disappointed with the way his side gave away their early lead against Saudi Arabia and will be hoping that a return home will motivate his men. He will be without talented youngster Do Duy Manh though after the defender was sent off in the previous game.

Prediction
The Socceroos might be playing away from home but this should be another 3 points in the bag for them on the journey to Qatar. They are the better side across the pitch and with any advantage of playing at home pretty much gone with the crowds being kept away, the Australians should feel confident heading into this match.
