Having won four of their last five matches, Adelaide United are full of confidence as they travel to Bankstown Stadium to take on the Western United in a crucial Friday night clash. Join The Roar for live scores from 7:30pm (AEDT).

Just when it seemed like the Reds were squandering a promising start to the 2019/20 season with a string of poor performances mid-season, they have surged back to life.

Four wins in five has them sitting back in fourth spot on the ladder, only three points and goal difference behind Melbourne City in second.

Their 2-0 win over the Central Coast Mariners last week also featured a moment to remember, 15-year old prodigy Mohamed Toure becoming the A-League’s youngest ever goalscorer late in the match.

The Wanderers are yet to taste defeat in their two matches since replacing coach Markus Babbel with Jean-Paul de Marigny, but they’ve yet to face much in the way of quality opposition.

de Marigny couldn’t have asked for a much softer start to his coaching tenure than matches against cellar dwellers the Mariners and Newcastle, though their clash with the Jets was spoiled late by a Matt Millar equaliser.

The Wanderers were outplayed in the closing stages against the Jets, with their defence holding firm to keep hold of a point. However, against an in-form Reds attack, their task will be far harder this time around.

Prediction
The Wanderers head in as slight favourites, but their draw with the Jets wasn’t exactly inspiring, and with the Reds looking dangerous in front of goal in recent weeks, their firepower should be enough for a precious away win.
