Ange Postecoglou speaks after historic J-League title victory
Former Socceroos boss Ange Postecoglou has become the first Australian to manage a team to the J1-League title after winning the championship with Yokohama F Marinos.
Having entered the final game needing to avoid a defeat of four goals or more to claim the trophy, Yokohama would have been forgiven for playing it safe.

But in typical Postecoglou fashion, Yokohama stuck to their strengths – their attack – slamming home three goals against second-placed FC Tokyo to confirm their status as the league’s best.
Speaking after the 3-0 win, Postecoglou reaffirmed how “proud” he is of his players, who bounced back in incredible style after almost being relegated last season.
However true to the Aussie’s usual manner, he remained a man of few words!
