Paul Pogba gets roasted over his ridiculously slow, 26-step penalty run-up
Just do it already!
After Manchester United’s Anthony Martial was fouled in the box by Everton’s Idrissa Gueye, French world cup winner Paul Pogba stepped up to the spot for the Red Devils. Eventually that is.
The 25-year-old took an eternity to finish his penalty run-up, with his kick initially saved spectacularly by Everton and England keeper Jordan Pickford, before Pogba recovered and sent the rebound into the back of the net.
Though he gradually got the job done, Pogba couldn’t escape a classic roasting from some on social media.

Takes real talent to play a one-two from the penalty spot. Pogba gives @ManUtd the lead.

After the Red Devils would go on to notch up a 2-1 win, Pogba, who took 26 steps in his penalty run-up, admitted it might be time to rethink his technique.
