'You guys are all corrupt': Canadian tennis player's stunning swipe at the umpire
Canadian Denis Shapovalov couldn’t control his emotions in his quarterfinal against Rafael Nadal taking aim at the umpire over the shot clock.
Shapovalov was angry at first that the umpire didn’t give Nadal a code violation for what he considered to be too long between sets.
“You started the clock so long ago. He’s (Nadal’s) still not ready to play,” Shapovalov said.
“You’ve got to code him.”
It’s not clear exactly what was said next but the Candian was livid with the response and went back to the umpire in a rage.
“Are you kidding me, you guys are all corrupt.”

Nadal was very confused by this point and the two exchanged words at the net.
Shapovalov appeared to put the incident behind him and got on with the second set but the exchange is sure to have ramifications for the Canadian.
